  1. How about snacking on fruit. Watermelon or strawberries, pineapple and blueberries. apple with cinnamon and sugar...etc. Make some oven sweet potato fries or some kale chips. Set a healthy example for everyone else!
  2. Ditto. The only processed foods I eat are olive oil, some spices and coffee. If I change it, I get zapped.
  3. I have to avoid corn like I do gluten...Same reaction. Ground turkey has corn in the "natural flavors" Basil sounds good too.
  4. If you bought McCormick, it says on the bottle how much dry to use in place of fresh. I don't have it near but it's on the back. I hope you like it!!

He eats Science Diet Senior. It's gluten free-ish...lol ciamarie, good tip with the Dawn..thx
  6. Same thing for me. It's usually the last symptom in a series of symptoms from being glutened. Same exact thing every time. Once it resolves, I am good to go...until.....the next glutening.

Unless I can get Aidan (my 85 pound greyhound) to do them, it's all me!
  8. Oven roasted red potatoes with olive oil and some dill, grilled chicken and broccoli. Baked apples with cinnamon and brown sugar for later.
  9. Does this happen to you only when glutened or does it come and go? I was glutened a week and half ago. It stopped for a few days but is now back. I can usually trace it back to gluten and or corn. I haven't had either I am sure of so I guess I am still healing from the last zap.

Thanks Squirming! I found the Pure+Clear at Target. Thanks for the info.
  11. I've been gluten free for 3 years. The corn is within the last year. I have fatigue when glutened.
  12. You can leave the fennel seeds out..no problem. I have made it both with and without. I also have used McCormick rubbed sage in place of fresh. Sometimes it's hard to find.
  13. Check these out. There are a bunch of them. Open Original Shared Link
  14. It is NOT wrong. It is YOUR body. You don't need a doctor to tell you what to eat or not eat.
  15. Well...we need a bit of info first. Do you do dairy and/or eggs?

    ARCHIVED Dish Soap

This is not a "is there gluten in dish soap post". With that said, between my lovely elbow DH and scars and my bleeding hands from Dawn dish soap. (I do a heck of a lot of dishes and this stuff takes oil off of wildlife so it must be harsh) my arms don't look very pretty. I bought some Palmolive Pure+Clear Dish Soap. It says no unnecessary chemicals ...
  17. Good for you!!! You can do this! Heck, you quit eating gluten. If we can do that, we can do anything!!
  18. I have never frozen them raw. I cook them all first then freeze them. I warm them up in the pan when I make my eggs. You could microwave them too. They are really good and nice to have on hand.
  19. I'll check it out! Thanks a bunch!
  20. It is very common. Just avoid the things that bother you and concentrate on the things that give you no problems that you can enjoy! I thought that I had a bunch of intolerances and it turned out to just be corn. When you keep eating something that is giving you major problems, it may seem like you are reacting to broccoli or strawberries but it may...
  21. This is pretty quick and easy and really good! Breakfast Sausage 1 small onion, diced 1 medium sweet apple, such as Gala or Honeycrisp, peeled and diced 1 pound ground pork 1 tablespoon finely chopped fresh sage 1 tablespoon packed light brown sugar 1/2 teaspoon fennel fennel seed, chopped 3/4 teaspoon salt 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground pepper...
  22. My story is the same as yours. We are about the same age as well. Yes, other food intolerances can make you feel glutened and cause very similar symptoms. I can't have corn at all. Which is really hard because it's in everything. I am down to meat, fruit and veg. Nothing packaged. It's the only way that I can feel good. Hang in there and try eliminating...
  23. This happens to me because I have a casein allergy. I get the migraine and sores on my face. Perhaps you are not tolerating casein.
  24. LOL! Thanks everybody!
