Whats the advantage to organic eggs? The Egglands Best eggs are almost 4 dollars. I got the store brand for less than 2 dollars. I've never seen organic eggs at my store. What does organic eggs mean and aren't they ALL gluten free and safe for us. I am trying to find ways to cut my grocery bill and by buying the store brand eggs, I am saving almost 3 dollars...

I was just wondering which kind of eggs you all buy. I have been buying Egglands best for 3 years. This weekend my store was out of them so I just bought the store brand. I made an omelet and could not tell the difference. Do you buy Organic, Egglands best, store brand..etc.? (I know that they are ALL gluten free..just curious) Anyone have any good egg...

I have been. I do have another autoimmune disease and took some powerful med. to control it about 10 years ago. There is a "name of the med" victims network. One of the side effects is bone and muscle pain and/or fibromyalgia, arthritis. Apparently this med. strips the body of calcium. Not good for someone with celiac! I also lived in a house with toxic...

Does anyone else deal with all over body achyness? I just would like to experience a day without feeling achy all over. This is not gluten related or nightshade or dairy etc. I know that aches and pains are a symptom of celiac. Just wondering if anyone else feels this way and how do you cope with it? I think it has something to do with inflammation due...

Does anyone else have the big D during their period? It seems like I am either going going going regular several times a day or I get the big D during my period. It kind of feels like glutening symptoms with bloating, gas and D but it isn't. What gives?

I just read that corn can make it float. I have eaten a ton of corn this week. Maybe thats it. Periods and celiac are not a good combo I have decided. It seems like I have gluten symptoms during my period that are not gluten related. Ahh the joys of being a woman!
-
I occasionally will have a little D non gluten related, usually spicy food or corn or whatever but the next day, I will have floating BM's. Is this just part of celiac or what? I know that before I was diagnosed, I would always just have massive D and pain, but whats with the floaters? Also, do any other ladies here get D with their periods?

What a bummer! I have never used that brand. I make my pizza crust out of the gluten free Bisquick. It is really good. I don't care for the recipe posted on the box though. I add 1 cup of grated parm. cheese. The Kraft brand in the shaker canister, basil and italian seasoning and some crushed red pepper. It is really good thatway. Kind of tastes like pizza... -
ARCHIVED Homemade Gluten-Free Cookies

LOL! Yep, it was too good not to repost here in the cookies section. I haven't tried any other flours. I don't think it would work with other flours. I have a cookbook that uses soy flour for gluten free recipes. With soy flour, you don't have to use and of the xan. or guar gums. This makes it easy and cheap and yummy! Here is another one. Snickerdoodles... -

For lunch we are having pigs in a blanket and french fries. Hot dogs wrapped in biscuits (bisquick) and ore ida curly fries. For dinner we are having roast beef, carrots, mashed potatoes and homemade chocolate ice cream for dessert. For the homemade icecream, if you are lactose intolerant, I use whole Lactaid milk with the heavy cream. It seems... -

Honestly, reasonable priced gluten free bread is kind of hard to find. The best tasting bread is Udi's bread. It is expensive and small. It's the closest gluten free bread that comes close to "real" bread. I make biscuits out of the gluten free Bisquick and store them in the freezer. It's much cheaper. I hope that you find something that you like. Another... -

Almost all of the gluten free cookies and cake mixes etc. have soy flour in them. I don't see any problem with soy at all. Unless of course you are allergic. I am allergic to nuts so I avoid that at all costs. Almond flour is out for me so soy milk and soy flour products work for me. We are all different. -

Hmmm..Whats wrong with soy products for celiacs? As far as I know, they are safe for celiacs from a gluten standpoint. Several gluten free products that I use like Coffeemate creamer and Betty Crocker frosting and all Wishbone salad dressings all have soybean oil in them.
