  1. Hmmm....maybe I need a new oven thermometer.
  2. Does anyone know why the baking times for things made with gluten-free flours are less than what the recipes say. On average, when I "convert" a recipe by substituting Bob's Red Mill gluten-free All-Purpose Flour for regular floor, I have to watch carefully and usually reduce the time by 10 minutes. My oven is spot on, so I'm sure it's not an oven issue...
  3. I am grateful for my wonderful husband who is super supportive and loves to cook and doesn't mind eating gluten free along with me! Also grateful today is a snow free day! And for this forum!!
  4. Hi Lexi.....the same thing happened to me. I think it is because of the vitamin deficiencies we experience. My hair began to get thin and brittle and won't hold color well anymore. I'm giving it a rest from coloring for a while. I think I see some improvement recently, like not so much hair in the brush. I've been gluten free since Oct. I take a gluten...
  5. Are there any gluten-free products that you would like some company to come up with? I would just love to find a really good instant oatmeal. In the beginning, when I first went gluten free, I found one that I liked a lot. It was made by Brookfield Valley and was a very tasty apple cinnamon flavor. I ate it every day, but was seeing no relief in some...
  6. I usually bake from scratch, but wanted to try this product. It is actually very good. Nice to have on hand for a quick snack. You have to keep an eye on it, though, because it took less time to bake than what the instructions say. I wish I had some ice cream to put on it, but I am pretty much snowed in.
  7. I just tried the Kinnikinnick English Muffins and they are VERY good. And big. Most gluten-free bread products are usually on the small size compared to regular bread products, but these are generously sized.
  8. I like Arrowhead Mills Organic Rice & Shine. It's a brown rice hot cereal. I usually add golden raisins to it.
  9. I was experiencing something very similar for a while and finally decided to stop eating a gluten free instant oatmeal that I had been eating nearly every day after I read on here that it wasn't a good idea to eat a lot of processed gluten-free stuff. It has soy flour in it. The weirdness has stopped. So maybe it is soy.
