  9. Okay you fashion-eastas! Chilli will have his first runway showing very soon.. No, I knew you were laughing at Kareng's comment Irishheart.. I just meant.. his survival being in question isn't only funny.. it's sad because he really is doing himself (and anyone who listens to him and doesn't understand Celiac) damage. But I thought it was funny...
  10. for some reason the above posted twice??..
  11. So actually, the innate response is a mute point when talking about Celiac because the body is ALWAYS going to respond for this condition (adaptive). The question of an innate response abating is for a gluten intolerant person and dependent on whether they are eating to heal their intolerance which would probably be due to leaky gut. By GOVE! I think I've...
  12. Made me laugh... ya either laugh or cry.. or both.
  13. 'Zonulin is a protein that participates in tight junctions between cells of the wall of the digestive tract.' Looked it up for this...I'm going back to read again. I would like someone to give a monologue on this that I could understand.. . Not being a researcher or biology major... I am not sure about the big picture.
  14. This was one of the many symptoms I accumulated over time... this was one of the first I had. And 6 yrs later... I am gluten sensitive. So, could be... but not necessarily.
  15. I'm always glad when someone has tried something and mentions it... it just isn't worth being a guinea pig with products. (Yes, I know... Canadian ingredients CAN be different..sometimes with some things)
  16. I just pulled these off sites.. Check out the brownie recipe which I have made and love it because there are no grains at all.. which seems to agree with me best. I know the cookies work because I've heard of so many people who make them.. or some version of them. Peanut Butter Cookies Open Original Shared Link Ingredients 2 cups peanut butter...
  17. DON'T... that's all I'll say.. You are probably more sensitive now that you have been gluten free and it will take even longer for you to feel better if you poison yourself with more gluten! Don't do it... it's not worth it! That was my 2 cents worth.
  18. The following article talks about the difference between gluten sensitivity and Celiac but could someone please break it down a little? I think I get it but I want to make sure. https://www.celiac.com/articles/22491/1/Study-Shows-Gluten-Sensitivity-and-Celiac-Disease-Clinically-Different/Page1.html Just a quick break down of the last part...please...

  20. Thanks for the posts!
  21. I'm thinking of getting the Kitchenaid attachment grain mill because I don't do huge amounts, just a couple of cups at a time. I am hoping someone who uses that will chime in.... Thanks sa1937.. the coffee mill is interesting..
  22. Thanks for posting dilettantesteph and Takala. I hope I get a few more different users of mills. I am curious about non-wheat users.
  23. I am wondering, after googling and searching reviews on the net and not finding a definite answer (that I can afford), what (if you use one) do people prefer for a mill 1. for small amounts like 3 cups and under 2. for larger amounts and if you use a Kitchenaid, what watt machine do you find handles the mill best?
