ARCHIVED Number Of People On The Board
mytummyhurts replied to jaimek's topic in Board/Forum Technical Help
That's me! I'm pretty shy in real life, but I find it easy to come in here and say stuff because nobody knows me personally. I think it's exciting so many people have joined. I think the knowledge of celiac is spreading fast! Let's keep it up! -
ARCHIVED Progresso Cream Of Mushroom Soup
mytummyhurts replied to debbie-doodles's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
I want it too, Jen! Speaking of c/m soup. I was thinking about green bean casserole last night. Yummy, I used to eat that a lot. My husband's probably glad I can't eat it anymore because he was so sick of it. Now, I wish there were gluten-free french fried onions? Anybody know of some? -
Good job! Wow, you have a lot of self will to train that much! I can hardly run a block!

ARCHIVED Treated Special And Loving It!
mytummyhurts replied to watkinson's topic in Traveling with Celiac Disease
Wow Wendy! That's awesome! My husband and I are thinking about going on vacation. Is that a good place to go for the vacation aspect of it? I would love to be able to go someplace and tell them the reason I went there was because of how they treated someone with the same disease as me. That way they will keep up the good work and know they made a difference... -

I've thought about making my own t-shirts. I'll let you know if I come up with anything clever. -

Crap! I'm out of luck then. I live in Washington State and I couldn't find this at my store either. -
ARCHIVED Grill Contamination
mytummyhurts replied to Emme999's topic in Gluten-Free Recipes & Cooking Tips
What would you have done if specifically asked to clean the grill? Would that have been a big issue? I'm just thinking, to be safe, ask them to clean it first. -
ARCHIVED I Have A New Problem Now
mytummyhurts replied to mytummyhurts's topic in Post Diagnosis, Recovery & Treatment of Celiac Disease
Thanks, Jen. I would be interested to know how much it costs to get insurance that covers just emergencies and serious illnesses. If that is possible. -

mytummyhurts replied to mytummyhurts's topic in Post Diagnosis, Recovery & Treatment of Celiac Disease
I should look into that because what we are paying right now for the coverage we are getting is just silly. -
ARCHIVED I Have A New Problem Now
mytummyhurts replied to mytummyhurts's topic in Post Diagnosis, Recovery & Treatment of Celiac Disease
I haven't had any other muscle or neurological problems. And the problem isn't only when I'm eating, it actually happens less then. Mostly it's just when I'm swallowing my saliva. It's actually gotten better since I wrote this on here. You know how when you feel sick and then you make a doctor's appt and it goes away. That's kind of what it's like. It... -
ARCHIVED I Have A New Problem Now
mytummyhurts replied to mytummyhurts's topic in Post Diagnosis, Recovery & Treatment of Celiac Disease
No, it was just expensive. My insurance basically sucks and we ended up having to pay $600 for it. I don't want to have to pay that again! So it's looking like maybe the reflux thing. So I may have to go to the doctor again. Crap! -
ARCHIVED Back To The Coke Debate....
mytummyhurts replied to Turtle's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
I thought that we had agreed that Coke itself was gluten-free, but other Coke products we weren't sure about. Such as Diet Cherry Coke, etc. So he said that ALL Coke products are gluten-free in the U.S.? -
ARCHIVED I Have A New Problem Now
mytummyhurts replied to mytummyhurts's topic in Post Diagnosis, Recovery & Treatment of Celiac Disease
NO! I don't want to! My endoscope thing was done last year, I wonder if nothing in my throat was showing up at that time. Otherwise, I hope they would have said something. I definitely don't want to have that done again. I'm still paying for the last one. -
ARCHIVED I Have A New Problem Now
mytummyhurts replied to mytummyhurts's topic in Post Diagnosis, Recovery & Treatment of Celiac Disease
I haven't really had nay problems with bad reflux. Sometimes I get heartburn, but not that often and not really bad. The other thing is that I've had really bad sore throats off and on for about 6 months now. -
ARCHIVED I Have A New Problem Now
mytummyhurts posted a topic in Post Diagnosis, Recovery & Treatment of Celiac Disease
I don't think this is celiac related. But I wanted to ask you guys if you have had this or know what it could be. A few days ago I started having a problem swallowing and it keeps getting worse. It feels like in the bottom of my throat (where my neck meets my body) that something is getting caught or popping about ever other time I swallow. It's really... -
ARCHIVED Nestle Carnation Instant Breakfast
mytummyhurts replied to VydorScope's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
Can't say I remember that one, Jen. But I still hear the Ovaltine commercials and they bug me. My husband loves Ovaltine, but I can't say I'm sad that we can't have it. -
Now I'm concerned about the other stuff I eat there if it really is the case that they have never been gluten-free.

ARCHIVED How Cool Is This?!

I didn't think before I went there that I was going to do that good, but I got 100%. Unfortunately most of the labels I read are not that simple. -
ARCHIVED Tried To Eat At The Movies... :(
mytummyhurts replied to VydorScope's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
I do it too and I don't feel bad at all with what they freaking charge for that stuff! $5 for a pop! I even have a purse I switch my stuff to just to be able to fit more in! -
ARCHIVED I Want To Complain!
mytummyhurts replied to mytummyhurts's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
Yeah, I was at my sister's today and eating stuff (I think she may have this too) and I had a Pepsi and Lays Stax. And she was like "You can have Pepsi?" "You can have chips?" "You can have M&Ms?" So their are quite a few things we can have that people are surprised about. It's sure a lot better than the old rice and bananas diet they used to put... -
ARCHIVED Gluten Free Bars
mytummyhurts replied to lbsteenwyk's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
Does "CF" mean casein free? And what does that do to your body if you consume it? I'm just curious because I've seen that around. -
ARCHIVED I Want To Complain!
mytummyhurts replied to mytummyhurts's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
Wow, Stephanie, you're a busy lady! I imagine if I was that active the meat would be good, I'm pretty sedentary though. So all the fat in the steak and burgers go right to my belly! -
