    I had all the symptoms of coeliac but blood is neg. I have brain fog, aches and pains, lethargy, constipation, bloated sometimes, have reacted to pizza and kfc etc. I feel like maybe its in my head too because my daughter tested positive. I'd be extremely concerned about bloody stools. That isn't normal. Have you tried testing for chrohns or ulcerative...

    Agreed, you shouldn't use same oil you used for gluten to cook gluten free food. Can't see the harm if its the other way round though.

    I've found out a family memeber had UC and now I'm wondering whether UC and celiac disease tend to go together. Has anyone else had both? Is it something that appears in children?

    Its an easy test to take. But she needs to be on gluten to be able to get a proper diagnosis x

    I would check for urine infections. There are some kids with small bladders and some with large (my daughter), so it could be something to do with that.

    Considering that this disease attacks the intestine and can make kids feel very poorly, I would get your kids tested asap. My daughter is celiac disease and now I'm awaiting the boys results, they're 3 and 7 my daughter is 9. Both my hubby and I tested neg with bloodwork.

    I'd report her! She was completely unprofessional in my opinion. I would also seek a second opinion, you're entitled to one.

    Could she be constipated? My daughter gets bad tummy pains and she is still constipated despite her laxatives.

    We're on day 3 of my daughter being gluten-free. I thought I read somewhere about withdrawal symtoms from gluten, so wondering if there's anything I should look out for? How did your kids react eating gluten-free? TIA

    Hi, My daughter tested positive with bloods last month and biopsy today. My hubby and I are neg and my boys were just tested with bloods on Wed.

    Proved positive for coeliac. So there's the gold standard they were after. Dietician rang minutes before to ask what we wanted on prescription. I should be able to pick it up next week as she was faxing dr surgery to let them know. Now just have to wait 2 weeks for the boys results. I'm hoping they're negative and we don't have to go through another...

    Has anyone had bladder problems before diagnosis? My daughter suffered recurrent urine infections since she was four. We were told she wasn't emptying bladder properly, therefore, she was getting infections. I've read up that automatic neuropathy could lead to people not being able to emptying bladder fully. Wondering whether shes had the symptoms a lot...

    I agree, its great to know a dr understands. I was pleased the dr who took my boys blood yesterday had some knowlege on testing for coeliac.

    I thought it was swollen because whenever I've checked their throats when theyre ill I've never noticed it. It looks like an extra tongue! I checked my sons throat and he has one too thats visible. She had procedure Tues and today throat is still sore. She's managed soft foods so far.     I'm thankful my MIL and parents are on board with this. I even dropped off a booklet with info about coeliacs to my MILs at the weekend (although she'd already bought a book, I thought this would be sort of in a nutshell to check back quick to).     Well, either myself or my husband must carry the gene as my daughter has celiac disease. My two boys were tested today, so won't know for another 2 weeks with them. Both my hubby and I tested neg.

    How far apart were the tests and were you on gluten each time? It sounds like coeliac symptoms. Have you been tested for thyroid and anemia?

    May be wrong now....I've never noticed epiglottis before, it appears flat at back of throat. Just mainly sore throat and hoarse voice. Hopefully be gone soon

    If you want to know or sure if its lactose, he can always be tested. Or you can just remove dairy from his diet. Hope he improves quickly x (whereabouts are you? UK or US)

    You say about the smell of the stools and that they float. Do they also stick to the toilet bowl? I know my daughters are the same, she goes two to three times a day.
