  1. Sounds like it could be coeliac. My daughter tested positive. She's been suffering with constipation since Dec. Or so we thought. She is impacted and soils yet she's regular, 3-4 times a day. Her stools alternate from soft to hard every time she goes. Her other symptoms tend to come on in the evening, stomach pain, dizziness, nausea, headaches/migraines...
  2. Exactly the same. I wouldn't have said my right hand was slower. I just think my brain gets muddled up or i'm trying to type too fast lol
  3. I've also had the typing thing. All the time. I type the wrong words then have to retype and then do it again and again. It's sooo annoying. I'm also usually a very fast typist.
  4. What are your symptoms and what blood work have you had done?
  5. I'm symptomatic at the moment and awaiting a diagnosis, but my main symptom is extreme fatigue throughout the day and most of the time insomnia too. Also lots of joint pain. My daughter who's diagnosed is always ill in the evening. She gets headaches/migraines, dizziness/faint and nausea. Every single evening she gets like this. She's ok in the day.
  6. As he's doing so well without gluten and for two years too, I wouldn't do that to my child, to make them intentionally ill again. Is there a reason you need to know if he's coeliac? I know in UK you get food perscriptions, don't know about the US. Point is, when he was on the gluten, he was very sick and in pain, off it, he's healthy and happy. For me...
  7. I'll be seeing a dr about the fatigue and backache but part of me is wondering whether to wait for results. Don't think they'll be back til next Fri as in UK it takes 2 weeks for some reason. Its a week today I had them done. If the blood test is positive then thats good enough for me. Only thing is, I may not get food on perscription, which I'd get for...
  8. Got an app for Monday afternoon. Dr said it could be coeliac but test isnt back yet (I knew it wouldn't be). Don't know what they can do until it gets back but hubby wants me to see someone as its all so bad. Don't want to live on painkillers as its not good for your body so just trying to get through it.
  9. Does anyone have extreme lower backache and fatigue? My results are prob a week off, but the pain and fatigue are just horrendous. I'm going to talk to a dr this morning about it. My joints are still cracking and I'm just not sure if its coeliac related anymore. Its getting worse. I'm 31 and feel like an old woman
  10. Lol I've done things like that, but managed to stop short of following through with it. A few times I've nearly put the kettle in the fridge (going to get milk out or putting it back from making a coffee). I can't think of other egs but I've done it quite a bit. Also walked into things and into rooms and forgetting why I was there.
  11. Another one who agrees that your hubby should have said something. Do you talk to her inbetween visits? It could have been mentioned then I think that once you've calmed down, things will be ok. She didn't know about the celiac disease and wasn't prepared for it etc. As you two get on so well I'm sure she'd be saddened to hear that she upset you with...
  12. Oh wow! That's exactly whats been happening with her and I came to that exact same conclusion. She would be ok in the day (sometimes headaches or unwell but not for long), but come evening time she'd be nauseous, sometimes headache/migraine and stomach pain or just generally not well. I feel sane now lol I'm looking forward to the biopsy being over...
  13. Should I be concerned my daughter for last two nights has severe dizziness and heaches in the evening? She's fine in the day, no problems. I told her nurse today but she didn't seem concerned. This seems to be a new symptom. Well, the dizziness not the headaches. She usually gets them and migraines
  14. I'm going to try go gluten free next week. Already sorted shopping out so will hopefully be completely gluten free the week after. Hopefully even being nearly gluten free will help somewhat.
  15. The reason I havent is in case they want a biopsy. But I doubt I'll go for it although my daughter is. I'll have a think whether to start now or wait for her to start. Thanks for the replies x
  16. I was planning on going gluten free for my daughters sake. Now I think I need to do it for myself. Its so depressing.
  17. Is it possible that cheaper products have more gluten? I ask because we had a cheapy lasagne last night which made my daughter very ill. We normally have lasagne but I don't recall a reaction like this one. Around bed time she was dizzy, headache, hot to the touch and not feeling too good. Just to say, she's been told to stay on gluten until biopsy.
  18. I'm having one of those days where I'm just completely washed out. My body is heavy, my brain is fogged up and my muscles and joints are uncomfortable and painful. Its one of those days where I just don't feel like I'll get through it in one piece. I have a level of tiredness everyday but these ones do happen probably every 3 to 4 days. Its just debilitating...
  19. Just to say firstly, my test hasn't come through yet, but I have all the symptoms and a daughter who's tested positive. I have brain fog too. It feels like I've got stuffing in my head. Like its just full of it, so much so it's hard to think or concentrate on anything. I'm constantly tired. It feels like its hard work to think and concentrate fully...
  20. I can relate to that too. I often can't find a word, it drives me nuts. I can't settle until I find that one word. I try to describe what I mean to my hubby so he can help lol I do eventually get the word but its just so frustrating!
  21. My daughters exactly the same. We have conversations about something and when I mention it later on, either minutes later, hours or a day, she'll insist we didn't talk about that thing. Its really frustrating. I've often been accused of answering my hubby about something, he'll mention it later and I won't have a clue what he's on about. My daughter and...
  22. Thats yet another symptom I have, but never put it down to coeliac (results to be confirmed). Words that I don't mean to say tumble out and I have to quickly correct myself. I muddle up words in sentences and stutter when I'm trying to say something. It's not all the time but its so embarrassing when it does happen
  23. My daughter is 9yr old and since aged 3 and a bit, she's been suffering from urine infections. She's been in and out of hospitals and doctors and on constant medication. We kept being told she'll grow out of it, she hasn't. We were told she wasn't fully emptying her bladder which is why she got infections and her bladder was large. I've just been...
  24. I'd like all of us to go gluten free too as my daughter is celiac disease (poss me too) but it's so expensive (I'm in UK). Sounds like its expensive everywhere. Why????? We're lucky in that the person diagnosed with celiac disease get some foods on perscription, although some people may have to pay a perscription charge. But then its only a limited amount...
