  1. Envirokids! I love the Koala Crunch and the Leaping Lemurs (like Reese's choc/pb cereal). I don't eat cereal very often but always prefer a kid type cereal when I do.
  2. I eat Blue Diamond Nut Thins all the time. Love them.
  3. I usually toast it for sandwiches. Today it was ole. Faced with salmon salad and avocado. I have just let it thaw to use for pbj (I dont like pbj toasted) and I think it's ok that way.
  4. Boo. DH just bought a ton of these on clearance at Wegmans. Never tried them and now I'm not looking forward to it b
  5. DDs ate from the ice cream truck just yesterday. DD1 had a watermelon icy/push pop and DD2 had a fudgesicle. The fudgesicle was labeled gluten-free. The icy didn't have any gluten ingredients including the fake "seeds" which seemed aids like chocolate chips.
  6. I contacted Revlon to inquire about any gluten in their lip butter lipstick line. This is the response I got. I'll be staying away from Revlon. I realize they can't make guarantees but it would be nice to at least get a list of gluten containing ingredients that they use in their products.
  7. For me I think it was either cc or lack of vitamin b12. I got a new toaster last week and I started taking b12 2x a week again. I had been taking it daily early on but then quit all together. I made both changes last week and I've been canker sore free since. I use Rembrandt C (canker sore) toothpaste and like it a lot.
  8. I inquired with L'Oreal about gluten products in the EverPure line of shampoo. Nothing stuck out to me on the ingredients listed but thought it best to ask. The "volume" products from the EverPure line are gluten free (shampoo and conditioner). I like these because they are also SLS free. L'Oreal included their current list of gluten containing ingredients...
  9. Thanks again. Working on reducing SLS in my household. I use SLS free shampoo and body wash.
  10. Thanks Quincy. I too use Rembrandt C. Been using it about 5 months or so. I love that my mouth feels clean w/out that crazy burning feeling that I always used to get from Colgate. I can't imagine having silver nitrate applied to them. Doesn't that sting like crazy?! As a kid I always had this gritty pasty stuff that was an RX from the dentist that was supposed...
  11. Wow. Just wow. I've suffered canker sores since I was a kid. At most I'd get one, maybe 2 a month and often could go months between them. Since going gluten-free they've reduced in frequency and longevity and recently they went away entirely which was nice. I posted in another thread how I'm home on vacation for a while in my gluten eater home and some of...
  12. LOL! Thank you for the very thoughtful reply! I had a total aha moment in that I definitely can get my kids more involved in the food prep. They love to help so things like taking the bread out, putting things on plates or baking sheets will be easy and fun for them. We do all the food prep on our kitchen island so at least it's all contained to...
  13. I've been gluten-free since November, so 7 mos. It took about 4-5 months to see real consistent improvement in my symptoms. I keep a daily log of food and symptoms. Unfortunately so far this month, things are starting to get slightly worse, minor in comparison to where they were before gluten-free, but still a noticeable recurrence. I'm thinking it is from...
  14. I've had them ever since I was a little kid. The only time I didn't have them was the 2x's I was pregnant. I figured it was then hormonally caused. But, once I went gluten free they went away. During a 7 day gluten challenge I got 3. Now when I get trace exposure I get tiny ones that pop up and that's my 1st clue.
  15. I had a follow up appt with my PCP today. Quick background...I've been seeing her for a year now for my symptoms. She diagnosed me as NCGS back in April after neg blood panel, normal vitamin/mineral, and positive response to gluten-free diet. After the neg panel she didn't want to refer me to a GI because I obviously didnt have celiac. So today at my...
  16. My MIL gets ocular migraines. No headache just loss/partial loss of vision.
  17. It's also on the individual ingredient list of the multi-snack packs...the kind you buy for kids lunches.
  18. For probiotic, I like Culturelle. It's well tested/validated, easy to find (CVS, Walmart, etc) and pretty affordable. For digestive enzymes I have tried Source Naturals Essential Enzymes. They are free of the top allergens (wheat, soy, egg, dairy, etc). I personally didn't have any success with them. All it did was give me a rumbling stomach and gas. I...
  19. Thanks all for helping me troubleshoot. I keep a food log so I'll keep an eye on the corn connection.
  20. So, I was gas free once again on the 6th, 7th, 8th. I was out of town the 6th and 7th and eating gopicnic meals and thai food. No issues. Ate as I usually would at home on the 8th and no problem. Last night I was a bit bloated, but not gassy and tonight I'm gassy again. I did actually have hummus, although different brand, while traveling, but not here at...
  21. Ive been gluten-free for 6 mos and things are going well. However the past several days I've had smelly gas each night. I'd say 3 of the last 4 days. Always at dinner time or later. No glutening symptoms, normal BMs, feel fine otherwise. My meals each of these days have been different. I thought maybe it was garlicky hummus but no hummus today. I can't ID...
  22. I have luck with gasx or phazyme when I get bloated. The liquid gel versions are gluten free at last check. Always good to check first because formulations can change.
  23. Many thanks. This sounds much easier than trying to figure out my own flour mix.
  24. I am blood test neg. Heartburn was one of my first symptoms that lead me to the doc. I was given prilosec. When it didn't resolve and then bloating became an issue the doc just suggested I needed to be on prilosec longer. I ignored the advice because I didn't want to be on prilosec long term. Now that I've been gluten-free for 6 mos the heartburn is now only...
  25. Two epic fails this week. First I made crepes using Pamela's pancake mix. I followed the directions. They seemed easy to make and tasted fine but they were soggy. They were fully cooked but had a rubbery, scrambled egg kind of feel to them. I froze the extras and reheated one today on a skillet and still soggy. Anyone have a good and easy crepe recipe? ...
