  1. I cant think of a good reason off hand why staxx would be much different then plain lays (which I could not remeber if were gluten-free at the time...) cept that they are thicker. Myabe I'll pick up some plain lays on my lunch break and save the staxx for eating. Man anyone else have a hard time STOPING once you eat e 2 or 3 of them there stax chips????
  2. The way I see it, since this is a gentic thing, If anyone one person inyour direct blood line has celiac disease, you all should be tested.
  3. hehe well I was standing in the chip isle and I could not rember which chips were good and which were posin, so I went with the old stand by of Staxx which was on sale 4/$5. Not bad

  5. PIcked up some Tyson ground chicken last night (the only one I could find, so must be the best one!) and some lays staxx to try this. Will let you know how bad it turns out

  12. I check walmart just yesterday and so nothing by thier brand name... I do not get out to Sams Club very often, so do not know if they carry them here or not.
  13. COMPLAIN? I can not express how happy I was when I found out my toddler had celiac disease! celiac disease is a known thing, with lists of do/donts that I can work with. Sure as heck beats the heck out of all the random guessing and problems and sickness he had up till now. Since finding out he has celiac disease he has been taken off of ALL medications....
  14. Before all this celiac disease stuff hit our faimly I woudl make my own fries by cutting up a few potato's and frying them in my fryer in Canola Oil. Is that still safe?
  15. Nini, I will remain skeptical, let me give you one example... The symptons of Anemia are very simular to ADD/ADHD, and we know that celiac disease can cause Anemia due the inablity to absorb iron because of the damage to the small intestin. So you treat celiac disease, which cures the Anemia...and POOF the ADHD goes away! Wow you just cured AD/HD! News...
  16. I would be very carefull of that link. I have ADHD too, and I have seen just about every thing out there be blamed for causing it. Everything from food dyes, to falling as a kid, to seasonal allergies, to the price of tea in China. The real answer is they have no earthly clue why stuff like Autism, ADHD, BiPolar, etc happen in some ppl, and every new doc...

  18. We do not have shoprite down here Since you have eaten them, can you give an approx diameter in inches? At $7.50/ea + $15shipping I hate to think they are as small as the gluten-free ones in my Kroger. For $22.50 I could get a full meal at the local stake house, for all 3 of us.

  20. In August I will be visiting Family that lives in Toms River, NJ (Near Seaside). None of the stores I am used to are in NJ, can anyone direct me to good stores that carry reasonable gluten-free foods at something reasonble price?
  21. Are you saying I can make a mix of those items in equal quanties, and then I can just sub it for flour?
  22. Are all varities of Aunt Jemima syrup gluten-free?
