ARCHIVED Mcdonalds Fries
Silencio replied to Skittles's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
McDonalds fries are indeed gluten free in Canada. They also have dedicated fryers in a different area so they don't make a mistake of putting the fries in the chicken nuggets oil. I have ate there quite a bit since I found out a few months ago. Its not so weird to order a meal with no bun either. They say it happens all the time. I know its a risk eating... -

Thats awesome. I was eating a ton of those just months ago when the doc told me I can eat as much gluten as I wanted before I got scoped. I wonder if they changed in Canada also. Thanks for the info. I wonder if those Nacho Cheese taco shells from Taco Bell are now gluten free then. -

I think Metamucil is just the name brand of psyllium husk. I dont touch it because of the added stuff they put in it. I do use whole psyllium husk powder though. You can also get it in pill form but you have to take so many a day it gets really expensive for that convenience. psyllium husk dosent taste good at all straight up with water but I force myself... -

ARCHIVED When Glutened To You Feel Terrible Instantly?
Silencio replied to Silencio's topic in Post Diagnosis, Recovery & Treatment of Celiac Disease
I actually bought a box of frozen burgers. I am just going to buy ground beef and freeze burgers for now on. I will be sure to compare the ingredients if someone in the house happens to buy them again just to try to find out what it is. I figured I would have symptoms sooner or later. I read once you rid your body of gluten, once you take in a little bit... -

ARCHIVED When Glutened To You Feel Terrible Instantly?
Silencio replied to Silencio's topic in Post Diagnosis, Recovery & Treatment of Celiac Disease
Yes I did prepare and eat them at home. It could be CC since I am the only one that sticks to the gluten-free diet in my home. We do share the same pans and dishes. I was never really worried about it before since being glutened didnt effect me at all. I am always carefull to wash pans really good though. I handle fats just fine. I could eat anything at... -

Silencio posted a topic in Post Diagnosis, Recovery & Treatment of Celiac Disease

Right now im taking 500mg of calcium and magnesium with 200 UI vid D. 2000 UI of D3 and 1 multivitamin. Would it be safe to bump up my D3 dosage to 5000 UI along with the 200 UI... -
ARCHIVED Tell Me About Your Repeat Blood Test
Silencio replied to 1974girl's topic in Post Diagnosis, Recovery & Treatment of Celiac Disease
Im scheduled to go for blood tests every 3 months since my diagnosis. I had it done at 3 months and I never heard anything at all from the doctor. My 6 month test is coming up. Should I be expecting a call from the doc? I figured I would hear from them either way so I could find out where im at. -

Silencio replied to mroper's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
I noticed a few months ago that the Chicken Knorr Bouillon Cubes are fine (the Knorr chicken powder has gluten) and the Beef cubes also have gluten. I had to go to a health food store to find gluten-free Beef Bouillon. Could be I was just confused. I will have to check it out next time I go shopping. -
