  2. Oh, I guess you're saying you tried to melt the velveeta in a pot to pour over your pasta??? You don't do it that way. Just put small to medium sized blobs over the hot pasta. That's enough to melt it.
  3. Make sure the pasta is still really hot...don't rinse in cool water. Add a tbsp of milk and when you toss in the velveeta, make sure you've chopped it up into small to medium sized blobs. I just use a tsp to scoop it off the block. Then mix and stir for a bit. It really should melt.

    ARCHIVED Awareness

Open Original Shared Link I didn't know they have a celiac disease awareness month! Well, there's our excuse to be chatty about it without feeling pushy.
  5. Open Original Shared Link The pizza crusts come in single serve size as well as larger sizes. They are very good. Orders up to $200 are only $10 shipping, so order as much as you can to save. The tapioca white rice bread is great. The donuts are great. The chocolate chip muffins are really great, but very small and not super filling. Makes them...

    ARCHIVED Trouble With Doctors...

Why do they need a dr's dx on file at the school? My school doesn't require it. There's NOTHING that the school does to manage this disease. I go in and tell them my son has celiac disease and that as a result, NO ONE has my permission to feed my child anything other than water. Do schools even give out tylenol? My school listens to me, and tells me...
  8. Open Original Shared Link Open Original Shared Link You can make all sorts of things with Chebe, including hot pockes, corn dogs, pizza sticks... Just use rice milk or water and don't add the cheese. Most of Kinnikinnick's products are soy free and they hace many dairy, casein free products as well. Good luck.
  9. If she's a professional chef, ask her to prepare a gluten-free cake. How about a "flourless chocolate torte" *don't dust the pan with flour* I've been getting a fabulous raspberry chocolate torte from my WHoleFoods. It's so good. All you can eat is a 1ince slice, it's so filling. Have you gotten the book Dangerous Grains? It's compelling...
  10. I know. It sounds gross, but it IS good.
  11. Open Original Shared Link Open Original Shared Link I order lots of tapioca white rice bread from kinnikinnick. They are great. Shipping is only $10 on orders up to $200. I make my kids half sandwiches sometimes and suppliment with other things. You might consider yogurts, cheese sticks, fruit, trail mixes, nuts, yogurt raisins.... My kids get very...
  12. The gluten connection to autism stems from the opiate effect the.... is it the peptides?.... have on the brain. That's why some people with celiac disease have symptoms that resemble mild forms of autism. My son had that. They appear drugged, out of it. I believe an overabundance of peptides circulate in the blood stream, reach the brain, cross the brain...
  13. Small side of mac and cheese - Tinkyadas with Velveeta Broccoli with melted velveeta anti pasta pasta salad-add bk olives, slightly softened carrots, broccoli, italian dressing Baked beans
  14. I should add that I DO add cheese just like a pizza. I make the manwich with chopped meat, put it on the kinnikinnick crust, sprinkle on Mozzerella and bake till golden.
  15. We use manwich as well. I put it on top of Kinnikinnick pizza crusts for my kids and they call them "sloppy pizzas". they like them a lot.
  16. I just add mayo, salt and pepper. One thing I like to add for a change is Sour cream. My recipe is "double the mayo". Meaning, however much sour cream I put in, I double the mayo amount. It's really good with sour cream.
  17. That's great. I emailed them about a month ago. When they air the show, everyone should send appreciative emails. Just flood them.
  18. Sorry. I thought you were being defensive. I still do, but I guess it would have been better not to try and talk to you about it twice.
  19. I'm sorry...but what is a green food suppliment?

  22. I was responding to specific comments in your post. If you read what you wrote again, you'll see that you posted a pretty grim picture for future success during the remainder of the school year. You can pick your battles, or you can run head-long into them. My response to you was from my own experience. I struggled with the thought of actually holding...
  23. They're gluten-free, but full of msg.
  24. Oh, thankyou, thankyou. My son usually only eats them at Halloween. I was making a class treat box for him and I bought them and saw MFS in the ingreds. Since it has been a year almost, I didn't trust them anymore and there's no phone number on this bag and no decent/useful info on their website. THANKS!
