  3. In order to have a diagnosis of Celiac, you must be eating gluten and have the bloodwork and/or biopsy done in order for it to be as accurate as possible. You could have the gene testing done to show if you have one of the two genes associated with Celiac, HLADQ2 or HLA DQ8. About 1/3 of the American population has the gene, but only about 1% (or less...

  9. The chances certainly lean toward Celiac! Make sure you keep eating gluten until your biopsy, and get a copy of your bloodwork and the biopsy results.

We have quite a few members from the UK here, so hopefully they will chime in and be able to offer you specific help. Let us know what you need - there is a wealth of great information, and always someone here to offer information...
  15. I'm glad it was helpful. I'm not sure where you live, but an endoscopy is a pretty "basic" procedure in the realm of medicine. May be worth it to call your local hospitals and ask if they perform routine endoscopies. May be worth it to look for a doctor that will perform the blood test for you, as well.
