  15. Maltodextrin is generally gluten free in the US, and would have wheat listed if for some reason it were derived from wheat. FDA states it does not come from wheat by definition.

  17. The total IgA test isn't a Celiac test (does not diagnose Celiac) but is run in conjunction with the Celiac tests to determine their accuracy. If he was IgA deficient, the tTG IgA and Gliadin AB could give false negatives. However, based on the lab result, he is not IgA deficient (which is good for testing).   19. You may want to ask your doctor to run the more specific tests for Celiac - like the tTG IgA and the EMA IgA. I'm guessing that the tests you had done were the AGA IgA and the AGA IgG. No one test is perfect, but the tTG and/or EMA tests are more sensitive/specific than the AGA tests. After you get the results of those, you can then make a decision with...
