  10. Nicole, if you want the genetic testing done, ask for HLA DQ2 and HLA DQ8 to be run. Your GI should be aware of this. You indicated that the nurse that you spoke to said that your bloodwork would show if you had Celiac or gluten intolerance. The bloodwork wouldn't really indicate non-Celiac gluten intolerance. Stool testing does not diagnose Celiac...
  11. The tTG test is a standard blood screening tool for Celiac. With a very positive result, please schedule a follow up consult with your doctor, but do not go gluten free until all testing is completed.

  18. The DC metro area has a lot of wonderful gluten free options - definitely a great place to visit if you are on a gluten-free diet.
  19. There are many people who have had positive E. results, but neg blood/biopsy. Enterolab does not diagnose Celiac. You may not have Celiac, and instead, a non-Celiac gluten intolerance.

They have a Chinese version that may help during your travels overseas, especially for your big, wonderful trip. The good news is that you have plenty of time to adust and learn the ropes before your sweet girl comes to you.
