  3. Sorry you are having such a bad time. Can I just ask, when you had a test for Coeliacs disease, was it a blood test or a biopsy? (As the blood tests are not reliable) presumably you were eating gluten in your diet prior to the test also?

  14. I agree with previous comment! The first doctor I saw was a locus and hadn't really got a clue (as I found out later). When I saw a doctor who knew what she was doing she tested for antibodies and T3, T4 etc., and low and behold, it turned out I was severely hypo and had antibodies. Please, see a different doctor if you are getting nowhere with your present...
  15. It's very important that when eating at a restaurant that the manager/staff understand what going gluten free entails. There is still a lot of people who don't understand what it's all about. Always speak to someone in authority when eating anywhere new just to be certain you don't get cross contamination.
  16. Could it be the fact that you are not getting enough fibre in your diet? I was diagnosed with IBS 30years ago, which was managed through eating fibre and less refined foods. Since being diagnosed as Coeliac last November I have found it very difficult to get enough fibre in my diet. Also, maybe there's something in your diet that you are still sensitive to...

  20. It's possible as everyone's symptoms are different. I get stomach pains (cramp) and feel very nauseous after accidentally eating milk. My dietitian thought it would improve after eating gluten free diet for a while, but as yet this hasn't happened - although when I tried a spoonful of yogurt recently, as she suggested (as there's less enzymes in yogurt &...
  21. It certainly sounds like Coeliac disease. I had given up eating wheat and gluten before I was tested and started to feel much better, only to be told I had to eat the stuff just to get the biopsy and my symptoms were worse than before. I made my mind up there and then that even if it was Coeliacs (which it was) I would stop eating wheat and gluten as it must...
