  1. I'm curious, did they say what any other side effects of a rotation/elimination diet could be?
  2. I have a fluttering sensation in my brain. It is scary. It stuns and disorrients me. But I also know the boat feeling. I am dizzy and light headed all the time. They stopped me driving for a while b/c it was so bad. But the last time I was going over the bridge and all I could think was don't pass out on the bridge! I felt almost like I was going over...
  3. i have heard of celiacs reacting to buckwheat. I've been fine in the past using it. Someone had mentioned a gluten-free bakery that they can't go to anymore b/c they are so sensitive and the baker started using buckwheat and they were reacting to it.
  4. my hair falls out....it's awful. I used to be really thick, and now it is thin around the temples...first place I notice, but it comes out in massive strands...my shower has hair all over it. It's awful. I also get this wierd strip of super coarse hair coming from my crown. It comes and goes and it is really wierd.
  5. irish, i'm back b/c I miss you. yes it's me. The exposures...one last November...I used the wrong seasoning packet in my crockpot...I bought it w/o double checking the ingredients b/c I thought I used it before and it was fine. WRONG....within 45 minutes I started to get sick. The stomach issues subsided within the first few days and I was left a waste...
  6. Nicole, I asked to see the endocrine doc, I was worried that my blood sugar seemed a bit low, my PCP wasnt concerned, but she did give me the referal. The ED was not thrilled to see me and wanted to know why I was even there. Again, everyone tells me that my high ANA means nothing. He did check a few thyroid labs, and my cortisol. He called and said...
  7. Hi Arlene, These things definately were present and worse at the time of a gluten reaction. But they continue when there is no gluten reaction. My gluten reactions are pretty severe and last approx 5 weeks. I haven't had one for a while. That's not to say that there couldn't be traces that get through in a restaurant here and there, but I don't really...
  8. I have been gluten free since Feb 2012. Many of my symptoms have subsided, but there are some alarming ones that have maintained and persisted. To the extent I had gone back to the dr. b/c I believed them to be something separate from the celiac disease. Now I'm not sure. The dr.s have no clue and I believe they are ready to send me for a psych consult...
  9. This is a late weigh in, but I used to only like bards..... My new love? Glutenberg blond ale...... Omg!!!!!! I was in love! They are out of Montreal and started to import this year
  10. I will try the turkey! Thanks. I was allergic to chicken and about 40plus other foods when celiacs took hold and brought me to my knees. I have been battling with 2 consecutive glutenings that seem to level me for 5 weeks. So if my chicken sensitivity comes back, that would not surprise me.
  11. I am severely sensitive to gluten. A glutening can debilitate me for @5 weeks. My dietician in the celiac clinic has me drinking bone broth throughout the day to promote healing. I make big pots of it and drink it like tea. From the beginning of the chicken broth, i have felt weird. A little sick to my stomach, bloated and just weird. To the point...
  12. I have severe psoriasis on my scalp. Thus, there are many open wounds on my scalp. I use gluten free hair products. When I am glutened, it affects my hair and my skin as well. I get a wide strip of very coarse hair from the middle of my scalp. My skin becomes thin and easily damaged as well as hyper sensitive. So I have no doubts that inhaling trace...
  13. No, no, please dig. I had the tumor removed 3 weeks ago. Many docs thought that many of my symptoms came from the tumor. Which we believe to be begign, the report comes back to me Friday. They also were concerned I had lymphoma or multiple myeloma. I am now cleared of that. My tumor was 1 cm..."and I'm sure it had something to do with my downfall...
  14. Thank you for this information. No one, not any doctor or anything I have researched has explained this. I just couldn't except, " you are part of that 1% of the population with high Ana....your explanation makes sense. I have celiacs and. Psoriasis. I have been recently diagnosed. My hematologist told me that since the tumor is gone that over the...
  15. I've heard a lot of mention of immune suppressors. What exactly do they do? How will they help me? I'm willing to do anything.
  16. Thank you, I will mention this to the hematologist tomorrow when I see him. I just know all of this is related somehow!
  17. I tried to write a response, and I lost it.... I wanted to write to allof you, but I don't have that much stamina. You have all moved me to tears. It is nice not to feel so alone. I have felt so isolated. Laying on my couch for months, not being able to move, watching my friends drive by, water their plants, and no one stopped to visit. They all...
  18. I have had the same problems, my knee would buckle out for no reason, fingers and toes would tingle and go numb. STUTTTERING!!!!!! All the time!!!!!!!! Can't concentrate, have lost my witty comebacks......I used to be pretty funny (well, at least I thought so)... My brain would shutter and flutter. I had weird optical illusions like my daughters being...
  19. Sometimes, I am surprised I am still alive. I don't understand what happened to me. My low points? My dad rushing me to the ER bc he thought I was dying. I was grey, eyes sunken, emaciated, dehydrated and babbling. The ER doc looked at me and said, I dont understand what you are doing hear or what you want me to do for you! Or upon waking from a colonoscopy...
  20. Hi, This is my first post on this forum. I decided to break it into two separate posts b/c my issues are numerous. I am wondering if any other celiacs have dealt with bouts of MRSA. I donut know if it is a symptom or the cause of my then undiagnosed celiacs going out of control. Since february of 2011 I have contracted MRSA 2 times. As well as multiple...
