    Oh.....during the brain testing at my last appt....the bar was hardly going up....we watched it and very slowly it got up to 30. Susan said "Well...its holding....as long as it doesnt "slip" thats all we care about." So I guess its ok as long as the bar doesnt start going down......that was my understanding.     No....enzymes arent going to stop an immune reaction to gluten. If you have leaky gut (do you have problems with lots of food?) and gluten is leaking into your bloodstream causing your immune system to attack...an enzymes is not going to solve the problem.     Definately....its a common occurrance on all health boards. Thyroid disscussions are very common on this board as well as every other board I've been on.     No...leaky gut cant be seen during the endoscopy. There is a specific test for it (a urine test) but it cant be *seen* in any type of testing. If you have multiple food intolerances....then leaky gut is pretty much a guarantee.     Thanks for that link Mango!! I had wondered if this was actually the real reason for my reaction to soy. I bet it is. I think my body reacts so violently to MSG because its such a potent nuerotoxin and its entering my bloodstream via the leaky gut...not a good thing.

    If the Flagyl intensified your pain I would bet money you were having a Herx reaction. I dont necessarily think its the yeast moving into the muscles that is causing the pain in Fibro.     I think its extremely rare for casein to cause villi damage and I've never heard seen anything about soy causing villi damage. If you have leaky gut the other food intolerances (and this goes for any food) can cause imflammation to the intestinal lining....which will keep it from healing which in turn can lead to even more food intolerance..     So I asked Anna (my BioSET lady) if its weird that my IgG was totally normal for candida and my IgM was through the roof?? She said its not necessarily "weird"....it could be that the IgG immune response hasnt kicked in yet.
