OMG....I am like the biggest idiot ever!! You guys wont BELIEVE this.....I came home to Manteca late last night and the very first thing I saw when I walked in....was my jacket lying right there on the pool table. I feel soooooo STUPID. I feel really bad about being upset with BioSET. My brain is in really bad shape this week....major... -

I'm so sad right now I could cry. I need to vent. My friend got me a jacket for Xmas. I had to exchange it for a different size and the jacket was almost $300. I loved the jacket. It was big a big warm North Face jacket. It was only a couple weeks ago that she gave it to me....so a late Xmas present. Anyways I left it at BioSET last night... -

Yeah....aint that the truth!! Thats why I trip out sometimes....my life is SOO comlpicated with this stuff and yet I'm running around and *appear* to be healthy...but I'm SOOO far from healthy that it boggles my mind I can even *do* these things. Yeah...getting up is NEVER easy for me. I feel worst in the morning but once I get myself... -
Carrie, I noticed in your signature that you tested positive for Metabisulfite. If you are reacting to sulfites this could account for some of you "unexplained" reactions. You could get the reaction from any one of these ingredients. Sodium Sulfite Sodium Bisulfite Sodium Metabisulfite Sulfur Dioxide Gas Potassium Metabisulfite...

ARCHIVED Too Much Testing?
Rachel--24 replied to jramfischer's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
Hi....welcome to the board. My opinion is that no further testing was needed once you came back with a positive tTG. The tTG is specific for Celiac. You've been gene tested so you now have even more proof of Celiac....but the tTG was more than enough. Some Dr.'s want to see a postive biopsy to make the diagnosis but a negative biopsy does NOT... -
Cool pics Molly! I like your jacket too. Are you going to opening day again??

Ryan, I'm sorry you didn't get the assignment....I know its a disappointment for you. I agree that your wife and kids are probably relieved and hopefully better things are still in store for you and your family. Even though it was a let down there are definetaly some good aspects to look at. Things will work out for you.

Thanks Claire....I had always thought that the green potatoes were toxic and I store them in the dark. When I worked in the produce dept. for several years....whenever the store closed (which was only like twice a year) we would cover the potatoes with black garbage bags to "protect" them. I had a potato question last week but never asked it. I'm eating... -

My treatment tonight was for bile acids....bile that is suppossed to be made by the liver to process fats...or something like that?? I forgot already. All I know is the bile acids are important in some way and Anna said she wanted to put some focus on this stuff and also my gall bladder because gall bladder gets affected by infections and leaky gut... -

Andrea, I cant have any broths made from meat or bones. I'm way too sensitive to the "free glutamates". Thats what "frees" up the glutamates for making MSG....boiling and cooking the proteins. I react to my own soup which is why I never make it. I can eat beef everyday...but not when its boiled and slow cooked in water for stew. Its not as bad a reaction... -

I posted this last month....and guess what....the freakin stuff was making me sick!! Yeah...every time I ate it I got worse and after about a week I had a major reaction with one spoonful and that was the end of it. I was having some swelling in my head, naseuea, tummy rumblings, numbness and other symptoms. So a month went by and I havent... -

Tiffany, Yeah, I agree that TruthinLabeling is very anti-msg but for the most part all that I've read there seems to ring true. I get the classic type MSG reactions of burning across the shoulders, tightness/swelling in my head, upset tummy, etc. I dont think I would have believed this stuff when I was healthy but when you're "living it" and experiencing... -

See....everything I read points to infections having some relationship in the development of autoimmune disease. The purpose of sIgA is to ward off the "bad guys" If the sIgA is not functioning properly or there is deficiency.....we cant fight these guys off as well....and then we get disease.....or "syndromes" like Fibro. Infection (bacteria... -

Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever Ahhh....ok...I've read about this one but I had thought it had very specific symtpoms or something??? I think I always assumed from the name that you must have a fever. I'm gonna re-read about it. Yeah...I think I may have had 1 or 2 more positive bands. I had a positive IFA test but its not 100% specific... -

She could still have Lyme but its just not showing up for any one of these reasons.... I had asked Anna about having co-infections w/out Lyme. She had said that its not entirely impossible but not usually the case. When there are co-infections ...Lyme is almost always present as well. Laura, I have never heard of that lyme co-infection... -

Andrea, The last time around I was on the Candida diet for 4 months...very strict with no cheating. I'm not exactly sure what happened on Tuesday?? I was eating alot of garlic but I didnt really eat any new foods or anything. One possibility is that I fed the candida. What happened is that I had only been off the ice cream for maybe 2... -

Carla, Did the Dr. say anything about the kids?? If she has some Lyme in her I'm sure it could cause symptoms if she's under too much stress or pushing herself too hard. Anything that could weaken her immune system. Stress is HUGE when it comes to this. She should get lots of rest and relaxation. Also, Is she possibly stressing out about you having... -

Laura, Sorry about the C. Diff. I tested positive for it last year and was on the Flagyl for two weeks. It was rough on me....I hope it goes alot smoother for you. Are you having diarreah?? Tiffany, Actually MSG is not produced by the body. MSG is not "natural". The stuff that the body produces and that is naturally found in tomatoes, cheese and mushrooms is natural bound glutamate....which is not harmful. Its only when glutamates are "freed" during processing that it becomes the neurotoxin that is called MSG. MSG originally... -

Andrea, WOAH.....I went to my BioSET appt. half drunk! Seriously.....I felt like I had been drinking. I dont remember much about my testing but I *do* remember that we did pesticides and I reacted to maybe half of them. There were no vials for this panel....the whole panel was on the computer so I just sat there like this the whole time... -

As far as I know the treatment worked because I tested negative for C. Diff 30 days after taking Flagyl for it. Claire, My take on this is that alot of them dont actually have C. Diff. From what I remember most of the people having a rough time with it werent testing positive for it. A few were....but most were not. I think that in many cases... -
