  1. Exactly! I agree 100%. Really?? Since when?? I think one of the main themes on this board is that the BEST test is your own body's response. If your body responds favorably....isnt that a good thing?? Havent we all heard that here a gazillion times...TRUST your body and not the tests. So all of a sudden none of...
  2. Hmmm...maybe the ones who cant read very well?? Did you intentionally leave this part out of your post?? Those words are right at the top of the page....so I'm not sure why any Celiac who can read would be under the impression that they can purposely consume gluten without consequence...if they take the enzymes. And this...
  3. Lisa....magnesium sulate isnt considered to be toxic. Sulfate is essential for our health.
  4. Since cross conatmination isnt entirely avoidable for everyone...and since most people arent actively *trying* to be glutened "on accident"....I dont understand why there is so much "concern" over using a product to try to reduce the risk??? If I were someone who likes to eat out....and occassionally end up sick as a result of ACCIDENTAL exposure...I think...
  5. I have done alot of research on the enzymes. I also see Dr.'s who are treaing autistic children who have required the gluten-free/casein free diet due to leaky gut/dysbiosis issues. They use these enzymes and they DO work for a large percentage of the kids. This is not a "cure" for Celiac....and from what I could tell...it didnt appear that UncleZack...
  6. Caffiene is very irritating to the gut....same with alcohol. I would avoid those things right now.
  7. It's actually an "old" bucket metaphor....but it works! I think its my favorite and most "unscientific" description of the problem. My bucket's overflowing = I'm flooded with toxic junk My bucket's overflowing = I feel like crap It's pretty basic.
  8. For anyone who hasnt seen this.... Scott's article on "Candida Related Complex".....a complicating factor in Lyme Disease. Open Original Shared Link .....and for anyone interested you can read all of the PHA articles here: Open Original Shared Link
  9. I became intolerant to pretty much *everything* at 31. Foods, chemicals, environmental triggers, etc. Prior to that....I had no problems with anything. I have several issues contributing....although I do not have Celiac.
  10. I looked up VSL#3.....because thats what I was hoping to take eventually. Here's the ingredient list... Lactic acid bacteria, microcrystalline cellulose, stearic acid, silicon dioxide Fantastic. Silicon dioxide is another one which is on the toxic excipient list. I wonder if I'll be able to find something pure?? This page has...
  11. Dang....even my probiotics have magnesium strearate....and they're a really good brand!! I havent taken probiotics in a really long time. They just sit in my fridge waiting for me to not be "allergic" to them anymore. I'm sure thye're probably out of date now. I remember Amy telling me I needed to take them....even if its only a small amount on...
  12. Andrea, Amy gave me the name of a brand once.....I *think* it was "Selectrolytes". I'm not 100% sure because it was awhile back...and I'm going from memory....but I know I wrote it down somewhere. Anyway, I just looked it up. Open Original Shared Link Check it out....I dont see any additional ingredients.
  13. Paula, I still have my foot pads....they're still in the Fed Ex envelope in my closet. I'm not gonna try them until my "bucket" gets much lower....they have way too many salicylates. That scares me. Next time I see Dr. Amy I think I'll bring the foot pads.....that should be interesting.
  14. Dang toxic ingredients!! I really dont get it....why do they *have* to put toxic stuff in EVERYTHING??!! WTH??
  15. Most of the time its because someone else in the family has been diagnosed.
  16. Mia....yup...thats how it happened with me. I was on the ketotifen at that time...plus my diet had been pretty clean for awhile...plus I had done a few chelation treatments. Everything was going pretty good. Its not like I was totally symptom free with what I was eating...but I was eating alot more and my bucket wasnt overflowing. It went downhill...
  17. Lisa....you're probably right! I vaguely remember reading somewhere that magnesium stearate was bad....but I had no idea why. I also dont know if its always from a vegetable source. Sometimes it will say on the product (from a vegetable source) but usually it doesnt state the source at all. But I just looked it up.
  18. It could be an overgrowth of yeast or bad bacteria...or even both. I dont do well with rice either...and I do have dysbiosis (imbalance of good/bad bacteria). I'm not "allergic" to rice....or any of the other foods that are problematic for me...but because of the gut issues they are a food source for the bad bugs....and as a result symptoms can develop or...
  19. Did you try to go off of it cold turkey?? I think with prednisone you have to taper off slowly. I was on it for a very short time....only one week....but I still had to taper off of it.
  20. Thanks Lisa. Now I just have to find out what the "cliptilolite family" is. I'm gonna look into this. If I can get some....I can have Amy test it for the phenols and see if it helps.
  21. LOL...Rinne....I think I "get it". I think its probably alot like what I've experienced. I dont *feel* so sick anymore. Even though I've been back to work fulltime for 3 years now...I was still kind of "bogged down" by everything. I still felt like I was so very 'different' from everyone else around me. It was always on my mind.....mainly because I...
  22. Like mamaw...I had positive experiences with BioSET. I have never tried NAET. I agree that the outcome has alot to do with the experience of the practitioner. I was fortunate....I was seeing someone who is very experienced and who trains other practitioners. Its true that the good ones are really hard to come by. I was referred to her by one of my MD...
  23. Hey...I didnt know there were some LLGI's out there!! Very Cool! Hopefully he'll be able to figure something out for you. Hi Rinne Nope....I dont think anyone here has tried MMS. There's alot of info. about it on LymeNET...several people have tried it. Not sure if you wanna venture over though. So you ate all the Rinne bars...
  24. Lisa....what are the ingredients? That would be great if you can find out about phenols. He may not know....it seems like alot of doctors arent knowing too much about phenols right now. Dr. Amy was pretty surprised at how little anyone knows about it....especially since it seems to be a pretty significant problem for alot of people...and especially the...
