ARCHIVED Need Some Input On Why This Enzyme Is Helping So Much
Rachel--24 replied to shayesmom's topic in Related Issues & Disorders
I'm not saying that the enzyme cant digest protein from a food source. Of course it can....which is it why its recommended that it be taken away from food. The enzyme immediately goes to work at breaking down these things mentioned in my previous post. It would not serve the same purpose if taken with food. You would want to take it as far away from... -

Hi Florence, I think that unblocking the pathway can be very challenging. Although this protocol may be successful for some...it wont be for everyone...as is the case with most treatments. It was mentioned in the article that some patients have had serious adverse effects. Since we all have differences in biochemistry and genetics...I agree that any... -

OMG...you really do have your work cut out for you!! I have no doubt that you will learn alot in those pages....but seriously...feel free to pop in there with any questions. We dont mind going back over any of the topics previously discussed in that thread. If you're alot like me (obsessive ) then you will probably want to just read through it... -
ARCHIVED Need Some Input On Why This Enzyme Is Helping So Much
Rachel--24 replied to shayesmom's topic in Related Issues & Disorders
This is possible if the enzyme is taken with food. In most cases serratiopeptidase is used as an anti-inflammatory and to break down fibrin to increase blood flow. Any enzyme used to fight fibrin is suppossed to be taken away from food....otherwise it wouldn't be as effective since it would be mostly used up in digesting the meal. If the enzyme... -

I havent ever taken this enzyme but I'm aware that it can be used to treat hypercoagulation by breaking down fibrin...as you mentioned. Hypercoagulation can lead to all kinds of health issues since it makes it difficult for the body to assimilate nutrients, fight off infections, remove toxins, etc. Its a condition that is very common in chronic illness... -
ARCHIVED Everyone With Fibromyalgia...
Rachel--24 replied to lizard00's topic in Related Issues & Disorders
This is also my opinion. I dont believe that Fibro. is a true condition in itself....but rather a label given to those who have unexplained symptoms and fall into the "criteria" that makes a fibro. diagnosis (11 tenderpoints, TMJ, etc.) In my opinion it falls into the category of IBS or chronic fatigue syndrome...which I also dont believe are... -

Hi Deb! Its nice to "see" you. I actually remembered that you have reactions to wine with high sulfites. I recall you mentioning it on a couple threads way back. There is sulfa in alot of things we ingest...but not always in high enough amounts to trigger a reaction. It depends on the persons tolerance. One of my Dr.'s said that he frequently... -

This page is less scientific...its easier on the eyes. Methylation and sulfation are required for many of the systems and processes we all need daily, and are the same systems that are impaired with ASDs. Understanding the basics can help us piece together what systems are not functioning well, why, and how to support them. These processes include... -

Heres more info. about methylation... The methylation cycle is the ideal pathway to focus on for nutrigenomic analysis and supplementation. The function of this pathway is essential for a number of critical reactions in the body. Consequences of genetic weaknesses (mutations) in this pathway are increased risk factors leading to a number of serious... -

Does your tolerance change from time to time? Like sometimes you're doing ok with one of these foods or supplements and then you're having problems? Or is it pretty consistent as far as what you can handle and what you cant? Every person has a different tolerance level and symptoms occur when the load gets too high. Also, if something else you do or take... -

Julie, I cant say I've read alot about mast cells....and I dont have anything totally jumping out at me. I did read that thread though....and my thoughts were that all of the foods listed were highly phenolic except the wheat but we do know that its highly allergenic...as is dairy. Fermented foods are mentioned and most have high levels of sulfite.... -

Thanks Kassandra...it sounds like that might be what it is. The nurse did tell me to put heat on it but I didnt do it. Well...each time I've had any problems with the IV they've told me that heat will help bring the swelling down...but this is the first time I've had any lingering effect and I've never tried the heating pad. I guess this time I better... -

I found an article here on C.com that talks about PST Enzyme and Sulfur Oxidization Deficiencies. Its referring to studies in autistic kids. Its not too scientific. https://www.celiac.com/articles/111/1/Enzym...ance/Page1.html -

Several weeks ago I had problems with my IV and it was moved to the top of my wrist area. The blood clotted and the IV stopped but at that point I was just about finishned anyway. Since then it still feels sore there....like a bruise. The vein feels kinda big and hard...like its somewhat swollen and its tender...like a bruise. What could this mean... -

LOL...ok so how about if I leave the second sentence out. I think that makes it easier. As for the second sentence... I have the same reaction as you Lisa ....I have no clue what it all means. All I know is that I need something other than the urine test to assess my copper levels. -

I have no idea....but I'm thinking its got something to do with my body's inability to process *anything*...so yeah...why should the L-glutamine be any different. Everything is a hazard to me. -

Sorry Julie. I skipped over parts of it. It was interesting....they used kinesiology to come to their conclusions and found that molybdenum helped with most patients who had problems with candida. Alot of what was mentioned was the same stuff I'd been posting but in greater (and more scientific) detail. -

Well I already know what he'll say about my results. He already said it.....either I dont have a problem with metals or they arent coming out. He was waiting to see what Amy says since he isnt capable of getting the type of picture that she can get with ART. Now I have to tell him that the mercury is still there....and not coming out. Awww Donna....sorry to hear that you're still not feeling good. Stupid ugly bugs! Hopefully I'm not traumatizing too many brains around here with all this heavy scientificness. I was gonna put a *warning* with my link to the molybdenum/candida page..."Do not open if brainfogged....scientificness may cause a worsening of symptoms!" Next... -

Elisabet....I havent ever been tested for this yet. It is measured in my provoked urine tests (along with all the other elements) but this is not a valid method of testing for copper toxicity. DMPS pulls out copper first so its normal for it to be elevated in the urine test following a dose of DMPS. I do have the exact values for all 3 of my urine... -
