  1. Lulu Magoo, The post that you responded to is two years old. It would not be a current list. I understand that it is difficult in early diagnosis. Please don't rely on dated information. Things change rapidly, especially in the restaurant business. If you would like current information, it would be best to contact the Company or Restaurant directly...
  2. All wonderful suggestions. Okay, I have to get motivated to build up the muscles. I am 5'8" and weigh 130, so not abnormal. But the bulk of my weight is around my middle. At 52, with a family history of heart disease, not good. Eat more, almonds and avacados and get my butt out of the house and excercize. Thank you, all that have responded. I have...
  3. Maybe I can help. www.triumphdining.com (609) 564.0445 They are wonderful in Asian and Mexican Restaurants.
  4. Sonic had almost nothing that would be suitable for those of us with Celiac. I noticed that this is you second post, so I wanted to welcome you to the Board. Gluten can be a nasty monster, because it hides everywhere. If you try to go 100% gluten free to the best of your ability, it should show some remarkable changes. I do have to admit that...
  5. FYI - this is a pretty old thread. celiac3270 is a busy student, but with hopes he will find this thread again. Lists of gluten free restaurant items change frequently. I would suggest you call or e-mailing the restaurants and get a current listing. Most can be found by using the "www. ( ).com. Chilli's Wendy's McD's Chick-fil-A Outback...
  6. The best start is to start simple. Don't overwhem yourself. Stick to meats, seafood, rice, potatos, fresh veggies, and fruit. If you tummy is upset go to the BRAT diet - Bananas, Rice, Apple Sauce and Tea. Limit you intake of processed foods, eat naturally. Don't go out and by a bunch of gluten free premade foods. They are expensive and you may never...
  7. Alex, Patti had a great idea about a food diary. It can help you pinpoint some food that can be a bother to you. I did want to say, that I am sooo glad that you are up to posting. That's a good thing.
  8. Linda, thanks for you time to find that information. I really appreciate your efforts, but yes, I agree, it's a little heavy on the dairy.
  9. Ben'sMom, here is your post. I am sorry that I can not offer advise. But, perhaps the other moms of young children can help you.
  10. Yup, last time I checked.

    ARCHIVED Help

Hey BensMom, I am glad that you have joined us. Sometime on the week end it is slowcity around here. The thread are recycled at a certain post point. You can find you post on the catogory that you posted it under....ie. "prediagnosis, post, coping, parents...threads". It is still there. You did nothing wrong. I will try to find it. Althought,...

    ARCHIVED Reactions

A gluten reaction can be delayed, and some here can react up to three days later. That might be something to think about. There are also some celiacs that are non-symptomatic. They have no symptoms, but the damage does occure. Celiac is not always about what you consume in your meals. Lipstick, lotions, shampoos, meds and scratched pots and pans, wooded...
  13. Hey guys, Many of you know that I have been gluten free for two years. No problem with that, got it down. I have recently developed something called Pressure Palsey. In simple terms.. carpel tunnel of the bottom. I have NO butt and as I sit, even for a short time, my legs go to sleep and toes go numb. My legs and arms are very slim. And I have...
  14. It's nice to meet you Alex. You are so blessed to have such wonderful people surrounding you, especially your devoted Ryan. You have had a tough year and it will take some time to recover and not look around for another brick to fall. I really do understand how your feel. I have had many tragedies in my life and I know the feeling. It is quite natural...
  15. Go to the options box on the top right of the page - click on it and go to "standard". That should work.
  16. Was was "your fast" before your test? And what was you test?

    ARCHIVED Glutenease

I would tend to agree with Doll on this particular product. I have see no endorsements from any Celiac Foundations or any scientific evidence support research for this product. I have no interest in this product and I see that someone is getting rich off of the misfortune of others.
  18. Have a wonderful one Stef!!!
  19. HAPPY BIRTHDAY SCOTT!!!
  20. Thanks Susie. I am at severe risk and have no meat on my bones, with very thin limbs. (Watermellon on toothpicks, somes to mind).
  21. Hey, I have a doctor's appointment tomorrow and feel certain that he will prescribe and osteoprosis med for me (such as Boniva). For those who take this, do you know which ones are gluten free. Thanks
  22. I drink a V-8 daily and it works well for me. I am looking for a juicer now.
  23. Every new doctor that I have been to wanted to run their own tests. One ran the celiac panel on me after being two months gluten free. It was negative, so he determined I needed lexipro, regardless of the positive endoscopy and biopsy. I don't think that you should compound your already unsettled health by going back to a gluten diet. You have already...
  24. I use Kraft. They will always list if a product contains gluten.
  25. Emily, What years did this air. I just saw Geoff's Youtube and I vaguely remember. I think some where between my childhood and my children's hood. I am in my lower 50's and my girls are arrive at their mid 20's. But, never the less, all too cool. What wonderful memories for you and others here. From hence your humor comes. What a lucky girl...
