  1. Good morning: In the US maltodextrin is generally corn derived. All of V-8 entire line (to include Splash) are gluten free to date. The best way to always know what is safe and unsafe is to be an expert are lable reading.
  2. Some do have a problem with Canola, but did you use a cast-iron pan to cook the fish in. Many can be porus and a absorb pre-gluten oils.

  7. I have read that La Choy Teriraki is gluten free as well as their soy sauce. It does not list wheat and they are a ConAgra product and they will always list. But please double check. In the US it is considered gluten free.
  8. It does take time (four years for you Ann?). I have been there for almost two years and Thursday night I go "slimed"....with one drop of my husbands hamburger mustrard on my steamed brocolli.   13. Help! A dear older friend of ours is trying to help me and cook my favorite pre-gluten free foods. She's 82 and can not understand the full concept of gluten free eating. Tonight she made me a seafood casserole and wrote the ingredients down for me. Which is a great effort on her part. I really don't want to hurt her feelings by not eating it. ...

  19. Jennifer: I am not a mom with a Celiac child, but you need to know that an endoscopy exam will not necessarily rule in Celiac, but it can be used to determine the amount of damage. Biopsys can miss and the viewing is not always reliable. If you choose to do the endo, insist on 8 - l0 samples to be biopsied (it is painless). I am not familiar to numbers...

  21. I have never heard anyone on this board comment about this "facial perspiration" when eating. But I have pin-pointed it down for me. I don't know whether I have a casein issue or a lactose issue, but it's an allergy at the least. Glad to know I have a witness. Oh, I have a reaction to wine as well - sulfates, and we do wine tasting every Saturday...
