    ARCHIVED Baja Fresh

Thank you for posting this. Perhaps your call to the customer care may develop into some changes.
  2. Open Original Shared Link You can give these places and call.
  3. Open Original Shared Link TOMATO PUREE (WATER, TOMATO PASTE), DISTILLED VINEGAR, CORN SYRUP, SALT, RAISIN PASTE, CRUSHED ORANGE PUREE, SPICES AND HERBS, DRIED GARLIC AND ONION, CARAMEL COLOR, POTASSIUM SORBATE (TO PRESERVE FRESHNESS), XANTHAN GUM. Where is the gluten?
  4. I would say so, Howard. And a very welcome to you.
  5. I've been told that finding gluten in pharmaceuticals would be rare these days. But, I'm not sure that's any consolation to you. If you list the pill, perhaps someone here can offer you more information.
  6. There are no gluten containing ingredients in that listing. I trust Kraft and many other companies whose policy is to list all forms of gluten on their ingredient listing or allergen statement. If you don't trust them, don't buy them! I think that the members here can make an informed judgement on what products to buy, without your rant.
  7. Could you be more specific about the misinformation?
  8. Not really new. As with the french fries, the hydrolyzed wheat has been process to the point of no detectable gluten. But, as in every restaurant (especially fast foods), chance for cross contamination/contact is high.
  9. Good job at keeping busy. Changing up your routine helps too.
  10. I don't have it available in our area, but so very happy for you! Isn't amazing how we get excited over simple issues.
  11. I had a very successful transition with Chantix. I smoked for 30 years and would not/could not even entertain smoking another cigarette. It's been six years. Although, there are disclaimers. I wish you every success!
  12. Open Original Shared Link What is Modified Starch?: A modified starch is a naturally occurring starch that is processed to change the molecule structure and characteristics of the original starch. Modified starches are used as thickeners, stabilizers and can improve the shelf-life, appearance, texture and taste of foods. I would not be concerned...
  13. HUH? I'm pretty knowledgeable about gluten, but I have no need to research corn...thank goodness. I can assume it would be very difficult.
  14. Not too sure they dust with corn starch. Most use cellulose.

    ARCHIVED Hypothyroid

Thank you for your reply. Other than chasing a 2 1/2 year old, my fatigue is normal for a 57 year old "Nana". I'm 5'8" or maybe a 1/2" less and weigh accordingly. Now the "hair trigger" temper...I have a witness.

Thanks Janet for that. My PCP is a close friend so I can so I can boss him around, a bit.

Thank you for your replies. This is something that I need to address....one tree at a time.

    ARCHIVED Hypothyroid

High cholesterol High blood pressure Eye pressure Numbness and tingling of legs and feet (PN) - most concerning An odd trickle down my throat where my thyroid is located. I've added some B vitamins and see no improvement. I do have a family history of heart disease. So I need to address the cause asap. I can go in Monday for a blood test...

    ARCHIVED Hypothyroid

Would you mind sharing what your symptoms were and how you discovered you were hypothyroid? I'm having some very distinctive issues.

  24. Victoria, It's a visual amount, so we can understand better what 20ppm looks like. Even though you eat as gluten free as possible, you probably consume close to that amount of gluten due to cross contamination in processed gluten free food and other exposures. Most people with Celiac are not even aware of it, or react to it. There are some people...
