Moongirl: Some of my discomfort is from a hiatal hernia and will be looking into getting that fixed soon. If you have been gluten free since 2005, perhaps so gluten is creeping in somewhere. Have you checked for lipsticks, shampoo, etc. It is all very complicated and complex. To remove all gluten from your diet and lifestyle is quite a lofty task...

ARCHIVED Practical Approach
Lisa replied to Dyang's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
If you strickly avoid gluten for several months, you will NOT get an accurate test for Celiac Disease. If you choose to be tested, you must eat gluten even though it may cause you discomfort. You may, as well, avoid all gluten and see if your condition improves - self diognosed for Celiac. -

How about just a plain old "bug" like most people get when stress depleated their immune system. I am talking to myself here..." Sometimes, every time we get sick, we tend to think that every thing is related to celaic. We get sick from others, trees, pollen and coodies from everywhere. We are just like every one walking, just another diet concern"...

ARCHIVED Has Anyone Had These Symptoms?
Lisa replied to eileen.e.wells's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
Before and after my dx, I found myself walking almost side-ways. I had to watch myself walking down town on the bricks and stepping very carefully as to not stumble. My husband and I have been boaters for 30 years and I would easily jump from dock to boat with no problem. After Celiac, I need his help and his hand to get me on a boat and off. I remember... -
B: If you has already said this... did you check your antibiotics for gluten free. And also, you have been high stressed which could amplify your normal system. Stress can do strange things and to re-activate Celiac would not surprise me. Just a thought, and I hope that you start feeling better soon. xxoo Lisa

Carla: There is alot of information that you should know about Celiac and I hope that you have been reading these posts. The amount of information you can get here is emence. Ivy: What you are experiencing is very normal. You most likely have been deficient in many vit's that you body needs to function normally. After I was dx'd, my NEW doctor gave me B-12 shots ever week for four weeks. I made a very grand difference in how I felt. Perhaps you could look into that. Depression, yes, that is a component of celiac...

I go the the frozen section of the grocery store and see the California, thin pizza and say...ohh. But then I would take one bite and say that I have done that. Never did like pizza before.
