  1. Hummus in itself is gluten free, read the other ingrediences. Learn to read what is safe and what is not, if you have questions with ingrediences, just ask. Lisa

Modified food starch, should be watched but most in the US are dirived by corn, as you said, void all products that say barley, wheat, rye and (even oats for the time being until it is suggested safe).   8. Hey richard, Just to clarify, anything that contains vanilla in their listing would be gluten free? (as in ice-creams, candies and choc).   11. I would look for toasted sesame oil....it is the best. Just look for toasted.
  12. I use Dove soap and shampoo with out issues. Once you learn to read lables it won't be a problem for you, but it will take come time to know what is safe and what is not.....   15. Wheat, barley oats, rye....They will clearly list the inged. Try the grinders, but look firest. Learn to read what is safe and what is not. After almost a year into this, reading labels is the key to all of this gluten-free stuff. Lisa

  19. Please ALWAYS check the lables... what is not safe in the Us, can be safe overseas, and vice versa. Product lines and production is always different.

  21. They are pretty laid back on the banks, but can very very helpful as well. I think that they have an Outback, that has a gluten free menu. If you go during off hours or call during off hours they can help you. Best choice, as I do, is to get good fresh fish (soft shells are current), and cook them in house. Get some soft-shell crabs , rince them off...

    Eric: Everyone is different, depending on the time that you have been gluten free. I have tried to be gluten free since dx'd in August 05. It has been a long haul. At first it was within a half hour. Then time time came that it was longer, and longer and longer. Today, if I get glutened it will take about 24 hours to feel the bloating, D, and brain...
  24. As a matter off assurence, I buy Herb-Ox Chicken and Beef Broth Bouillion. Herb-ox is gluten free and I use it freely.
