  2. I tweeted about ten times the other day @Dominos. I expect they are also gone.
  3. Yes, Raven is correct. Too often here, we see false test interpretations by the medical field, or incomplete testing.
  4. Most likely not the Earth Balance it self, but others double dipping into the butter from a toast or breaded products. I don't know your work set up so, I don't have too much to offer in specifics.
  5. Wow, just took a look. That's where I'm spending the rest of my evening. One at a time. <snicker> Made a few tweet
  6. Yup, I agree. I religiously wash my hands after feeding the Rudder Girl. But would not want her to eat any "tainted" food of whatever.
  7. I did not see Iams. So, I guess we're ok.
  8. Thanks Peter I was trying to find the other brands, as NC was listed in the distribution.

If you're pretty new to the diet, it's probably not too wise to eat out. Eat cleanly in your home. That in itself if a task in itself. Get some healing done, before you venture out. Dining out comes as a treat for educating yourself. But, you should always accept the risk. If you have a local place that you like, educate them. Talk to them at...
  10. Aw...that's the worst part of it, trust me! The test is a piece of cake. This too will pass!
  11. Hopefully, he meant that Celiac is either active or it's not. But the predisposition can exist, without being activated, in 30% of the people who possess the DQ2 and DQ8. As you know, it can react to a trigger of some sort. You have done your homework.
  12. So sorry we missed your window. You must be referring to the DQ2 DQ8 gene test. It is not conclusive. Only thirty percent of the people who carry the genes (associated, but not limited too), will go on to develop Celiac. Many people can use the gene testing as a piece of the puzzle, when a true diagnosis has escaped them. And adding that with dietary...
  13. I see it as a step forward...not a large step, but forward never the less. For those are able to eat gluten light or are not bothered by cross contamination/contact, a hot pizza might be a real treat. Not everyone is fortunate to live by a Pizarro... to die for gluten free pizza. If this program is a success, perhaps they will invest in separate...
  14. I did not take your poll, because I use multiple reasons to choose a restaurant and then, how I proceed when I get there. I make the best choice I can with the most information available to me when I choose an entree. IF, I do get ill, I can only blame MY choices. I don't fault the restaurant unless they were blatantly negligent. But, even still,...
  15. I know that you are overwhelmed right now. It's okay to be. This is the full panel that you should have been tested: Anti-Gliadin (AGA) IgA Anti-Gliadin (AGA) IgG Anti-Endomysial (EMA) IgA Anti-Tissue Transglutaminase (tTG) IgA Deamidated Gliadin Peptide (DGP) IgA and IgG Total Serum IgA An endoscopy exam can determine the amount...
  16. Ohio Congressman Tim Ryan and New York Congresswoman Nita Lowey have introduced legislation that will require drug manufacturers to label the source of drugs' inactive ingredients. This is huge! To move the bill ahead we need bipartisan cosponsors by May 8! All five of the national celiac organizations are united in support of this legislation. We...
  17. There is an Outback and Five Guys Burger chain that offer gluten free options. Most restaurants are privately owned and operated. Some of my frequent joints are: High Cotton BBQ - great ribs and brisket (gluten-free) Black Pelican - super shrimp and grits, lots of local seafood Blue Moon Cafe and Grill - salads or they will custom prepare for you...
  18. Unreasonable, maybe. But, they are in the business to sell food with service. I don't know if you have other food restrictions, but you could order a plain garden salad (without croutons) and bring your own dressing. A plain (uncut) baked potato, some broiled seafood or some steamed shrimp. I often order a cheeseburger without a bun. But you...
  19. I hope all 200 views here have sent in a letter.
  20. Sylvia, I would love your recipe, when it's convenient. I don't do pizza often, but I need it good when I do.
  21. I am beginning a new thread, because there have been several inquiries regarding maintaining medical insurance after a diagnosis of Celiac Disease. Please contribute your situation or professional information. Thanks!
  22. So glad I have nothing else to do tonight TOM! Yes, I deleted because it really did not answer your question. Surely, there are members here who can decipher the Obama Health Care Place or insure the OP that all will be well. Ok! I will start a new thread. It's a valid question. Off I go.....
