  1. I am 49 and was diagnosed about 3 years ago. It has taken me about that long to feel well. Many years were wasted being told I was depressed, stressed and all that stuff the doctors seem to throw at us. The sad thing is that I believed them and didn't pursue anything. I suppose I have to take some responsibility there, should of pushed them for answers...
  2. With my second I felt like I had to have a bowel movement, bad cramping and called my doctor. He said it didn't sound like labor and to call back in the morning. I ended up having my son that night.
  3. Go up to the top of the page, do a search on latex gloves and it should find it for you
  4. There are only 2 things that I ate that are new to me. One is a three musketeers candy bar and the other was salt and pepper lay's potato chips. Does anyone know if these are gluten free? I am sure I have ingested something with gluten because I remember these symptoms very well
  5. Look that is only my opinion. As I have stated she needs to focus on getting her child back, she has six months to reunify with her child if it's under 3. She does not have time to try and bring down an expert witness. If you have spent any time at all in a Court room you know that the task of bringing down a witness is not easy. The task of making the...
  6. Again I can only offer my advice. Simply, my advice is that you get your children back. Work with the system to do this. Time will pass, you will lose your parental rights and all of your energy would of been put in the wrong place. You can save that battle for another day. Focus on getting your child/children back. Destroying the credibility of what...
  7. Please don't follow bad abvice. It does not matter what their perceived weakness is, the Court will only think you are not mentally together. Insist your child is tested for celiac, make them rule it out. You must focus on getting your children back, not thinking you can "make the dr. a quivering mass on the floor." Do what you want after the case is...
  8. My experience was that the celiac was first found by a blood test, then an endscopy that showed the villi was gone.
  9. Just love those supportive husbands that say such sweet things, like you thinking she is just fine!
  10. You can be the official wedding planner! You are probably sick of doing it but looks like you are so good at it and we don't have any weddings coming up so it will give you a break for now!! DITTO
  11. I can't sleep so I was seeing if anyone was on the board.
  12. Hi Julie: I am betting on the make-up. I have heard that from other people. Sorry to tell you Carrie: Make sure to read the whole other thread about how gorgeous you look in your dress!
  13. DITTO Where are Carla and Morgan B. I have forgiven myself and now wonder where they are??? Julie: Hate to say it but it might be the make-up. Carrie: Just jump right in, I haven't seen you post for awhile! I think Iread you got married, congraulations! Evie and Rinne: Thank-you for your kind words I haven't seen Susan post, wanted to widh...
  14. Patti: It could be old information that I had, I remember it from a couple of years ago and it had to do with the self basting. I would just call the company or read the ingredients.
  15. I have also heard in the past that their self basting turkey's are not gluten free.
  16. Wow Nancy I just clicked on the link in your signature, very interesting information
  17. Well, Celia you will be protected by the arms of all your sickly silly celiac friends! But in case that doesn't work get the heck out of Flordia!
  18. Ok as long as I didn't hurt anyones feelings! Boy, now I know why I don't have any friends! I really was just curious and then when I re-read it I thought it sounded rather rude. I really do enjoy seeing you chatter at each other, it reminds me of myself and my daughters. Anyway, I tried to edit before anyone read it but it was already quoted. So...
  19. I know I tried to edit it out because I thought it sounded rude, but I had already been quoted. I didn't mean it to sound rude, I was just curious. I must go hang my head in shame now
  20. Celia: I agree, you move so fast that no hurricane could ever catch you. Leah: How are you? Susan: Nothing wrong with being a receptionist. Evie: I don't think we have met, my name is Tavi Judy: Seems like forever since I have seen you! Karen: How are you feeling, any luck figuring out what is going on? How did your last tests come out? Love the...
  21. My understanding is that the DH is a symptom of the celiac, so if you ingest gluten the DH is going to come out just as with me the D is extreme and the pain nausea is also more extreme than say the flu for other non celiac people. Make sense?
  22. Leah: How are you today? Did you get to see your friend? I know you are going throught a hard time and please, if I can be of any help let me know. Just edited as after re-reading it I thought it sounded wrong, rude all of the above. Anyway, enjoy all the posts
  23. I don't know if beer can cause celiac but it sure would cause huge problems because of the barley and malt. Some celiac's can eat oats, I can't. Erica (eleep) it's good to see you, such a pretty girl you are. It's always so nice to see what people look like!
