  1. I don't like Kinnikinnick's bread, but their pizza dough is great.
  2. Thank you very much for the list. It is so difficult trying to figure out if a product that is safe in the U.S. is safe here.
  3. I too am stuck at 120 lbs. And I am tall. My husband said I have been losing my butt again. That really does suck. For some reason I have also been sick for the past few weeks and I'm not too sure what it is.
  4. I make gluten-free bread without a breadmaker. I have used mixes and also some of Bette Hagman's recipes. The dough is more like quick bread dough rather than traditional wheat bread dough. I find it quite easy to bake from scratch.
  5. That's a great email Linda. I looki forward to seeing how they will respond to that.
  6. Good, I was hoping someone else would email Parmalat. Maybe the person who responded to me was mistaken. The more people that bug them the more info. I think we'll get. Thanks for the Dairyland list.
  7. Hey that's great. So do Paul Mitchell products contain gluten?
  8. I love Yoplait. At least they know what they are putting into their products. What I don't understand about Parmalat is why products like milk and cheese are not gluten-free? Are there products made to a lesser standard or do they just not know what is in their products. As if being gluten-free in Canada is not hard enough. At least we have Yoplait for...
  9. Yeah, what a stupid response. I wonder if it is like the warning labe "may have been in contact with gluten"? The Dairyland website lists their gluten free items. I emailed Saputo (parent company of Dairyland) for their gluten-free status too.
  10. Thanks for that info. Maybe I'll add the 100% psyllium husks back into my diet and see if that helps with my symptoms.
  11. How does psyllium help with leaky gut? I've got a whole bag of it that I stopped using since I went gluten-free.
  12. Thanks Shirley. I'll have to talk to the manager. It's a big store and my favorite one in the city. I've been to three others which aren't as good. So I shouldn't have a problem getting a new item in. I know what you mean about "nice bugging".
  13. Actually Lays Staxx are from dehydrated potatoes and potato starch and a bunch of other ingredients. I didn't get sick from them. So my next test, after midterms, will be to try a potato without the skin.
  14. For anyone in Canada: Dear Ms. L., This is to acknowledge receipt of your e-mail to Parmalat Canada. We had experienced technical difficulties and we are not sure if you have already received a response. We apologies if you have already been answered and please accept our sincere apologies if you have not yet received an answer. Thank you for...
  15. Thanks for the info. Mr J. I'm still not convinced that I can't eat potatoes, so today I had half a tube of Lays Staxx! I seem to be fine with the other nightshades. I'll have to look into that list of phenols and see if any of those are affecting me.
  16. Aaargh, I wish my Save-On Foods carried the Glutino line. I would love to try the pizza sticks. I have every flavour of the cereal bars, that my mom got for me.
  17. I don't know if I have celiac, but I responded positively to the gluten-free diet. I have taken one cranberry pill a day for about six years now. This is because I used to get frequent bladder infections. I don't know if going gluten-free would have changed the bladder infection rate, so I religiously take my cranberry pill.
  18. Lisa, I'm 5'10 and very slim. Old Navy makes small tall jeans and cords. However, my newest pair of jeans from Old Navy seems to be shorter than the ones I have previously bought. Hhhmmm?
  19. I was wondering why I never got a response from Campbells. I have had a few companies that have not responded to my e-mails. I guess I'll have to start calling. I wish the Canadian and US ingredients were the same. It would make shopping much simpler.
  20. I just started making Bette Hagman's Four Bean Flour breads. Wow, this is the closest thing to real bread that I have yet to see and taste. If you can bake your own breads, give her cookbooks a try.
  21. Shirley, the Save-On Foods near my place just started stocking Amy's gluten-free frozen pizzas. So, maybe they will be bringing in more of their product line soon.
  22. I have no problems with wine or sulphites.
  23. Thanks for the info. Stephanie. I did read your past posts on this topic. It is just such a strange thing to have. I'm afraid that my doctor will think I am crazy if I mention it. I wonder how common this is and if there is any current research being done on it.
  24. I have stomach pain within a couple of hours of eating potatoes. I only figured this out because I got very sick after eating breakfast, and I had been writing down everything I was eating for the past two weeks. I checked the ingredients of the waffles, and potato starch was the second ingredient. So I linked potatoes as the culprit of past two weeks...
