ARCHIVED Gurgles, Neck Pain, Headache Ugghh
answerseeker posted a topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
I'm going on like day 4 of gurgling belly, bloating, headaches, stiff neck with pain, and altering d and c. I cannot put my finger on any cc or glutening. I don't think its a virus because I have no fever. My body temp is actually a bit lower than usual at 97. Every time I eat, no matter what I eat, I get symptoms. Can celiac symptoms pop up for... -

I use their airbrushing mineral finishing powder (love it, really looks like I have a glow in my dull skin), eyeliner, and the shimmer strips eyeshadow for green eyes. If you have an Ulta they are having buy one get one half off sale right now. all of their skincare is gluten free too. and really cheap. I have the eye cream. no fancy ingredients, it just... -
ARCHIVED Lattes And Cappuccino
answerseeker replied to answerseeker's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
I think its either cc or the milk. I use lactose free milk in my cereal but lately I've been drinking the holiday drinks at Starbucks. Peppermint mochas and the lattes. Now today I have the "D" so something is going on :-( I probably got too lax during the Holidays and wasn't paying enough attention to what I'm eating. edited to add: I don't think it... -

ARCHIVED Lattes And Cappuccino
answerseeker posted a topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
I had a cappuccino yesterday after dinner and within an hour I was having extreme stomach pains. It felt much like a glutening, curled up in a ball in pain. Anyone have problems with espresso? I don't usually drink them and I'm fine with my daily cup of coffee but lately my hubby and I go and get an afternoon latte or cappuccino. I've noticed my stomach... -

ARCHIVED Floaters - And I'm Not Talking About Vision
answerseeker replied to NoGlutenCooties's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
I've been gluten free for almost 5 months and mine are just now starting to sink. I still have trouble digesting fats. I should probably start the enzymes as well -
ARCHIVED Floaters - And I'm Not Talking About Vision
answerseeker replied to NoGlutenCooties's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
Throw me into the eye floater boat too. They are the worst! According to my eye dr I am a bit young to have them so it must be celiac related. My tissue is actually starting to detach hoping it gets better not worse -

The packaging was so cute! I loved opening the pretty cotton drawstring pouch and my products wrapped in the pretty apple green tissue paper! I pay attention to stuff like this because I have my own handcrafted jewelry business I can't wait to try everything! I got the balm, the exfoliant treatment, hibikiss lipstick and love my kiss lipstick. I see... -
ARCHIVED Can Dh Present Itself As A Red Blotchy Rash At First?
answerseeker posted a topic in Dermatitis Herpetiformis
I've been trying to figure this rash out for months! There is a picture of it on my blog post if you want to see what I'm talking about. I have had the itchy bumps/blisters but they don't appear in clusters like the info I've read says they do. For example I had 1 on my tailbone area which was biopsied. But just 1 very itch bump. Then I had a small cluster... -

well this is the place to be. you will find support and a wealth of information. start by reading the Newbie 101 thread that is pinned at the top of the coping with board. It will be the most helpful thing you have ever read I promise -
I think they are always learning new things about this disease! I don't think there is enough research yet in early stage celiac. But it does seem to me that the ttg has a high false negative. My kids tested almost the same exact numbers on the ttg as I did and as each other did which is odd to me. My ttg was false negative. I thought it was due to prednisone...

ARCHIVED Confused About Labs...
answerseeker replied to TreeM22's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
Looks like a positive celiac test to me, you'll most likely have an endoscopy to verify Ttg is more false negative then false positive. And you already have the autoimmune thyroid condition which is linked to celiac -
Here's an interesting article. Only 64% accuracy with the ttg test in early stage celiac. Kaiser doesn't do the whole panel. It's so important to get the celiac panel because you can see in this article the accuracy goes up pretty significantly with the ema tests. This refers to early stage celiac with little or no villi damage (marsh I) www.ncbi.nlm.nih...

ARCHIVED Anyone Gone gluten-free To Prevent Celiac?
answerseeker replied to mamafish's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
Make sure your getting the whole celiac panel when you test, especially the children. My insurance changes in Jan and I'm getting my children retested. Kaiser only does the ttg test. I edited this post. I posted a link to an article about this in the testing board -
ARCHIVED Anyone Gone gluten-free To Prevent Celiac?
answerseeker replied to mamafish's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
I agree. I think drs need to get the whole picture. My diagnosis was a difficult one. Having been on prednisone during testing I got false negatives. Most drs would have stuck with that and sent me on my way. But I found a great GI. He looked at my malabsorption, the fact that I was already diagnosed with GERD, my rash, even my asthma sending me to the hodpital... -
