ARCHIVED Dietician Was No Help! Need A Meal Plan
answerseeker posted a topic in Gluten-Free Recipes & Cooking Tips
I need to get my weight up and get my nutrients. I've been supplementing with Ensure shakes but need more. I get in a rut with lunch. I homeschool my son and by the time I make his lunch and get our schooling done I am drained of energy. So lunch is usually not well planned out for me. Today I had a bowl of rice noodle soup (homemade) but I doubt it was... -
ARCHIVED Finally Some Good News!
answerseeker posted a topic in Post Diagnosis, Recovery & Treatment of Celiac Disease
I'm still having testing done on my heart and I go back to the cardiologist on Wed for an echocardiogram and holter montior. BUT, today I saw my pulmonary Dr. and my ashtma is completely 100% better! She took me off the steroid inhaler because I already have osteopenia and because it could be contributing to the arrythmyia of the heart. My chest Xray was... -

ARCHIVED I'm Not Getting Better, Actually Getting Worse
answerseeker replied to answerseeker's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
I've had my thyrhoid checked about 6 times already because of the heart issue they immediately check that. I've also had parathyroid checked as well. Type 1 diabities runs in my family but they always check my glucose, maybe they need to do more testing there. My GP wants me to have a colonoscopy but I'd rather explore the least invasive ones first. At this... -

I was starting to feel a bit better at my 2 month mark but now I'm just going down hill. It's been 5 months now I mean I should feel a little something shouldn't I? I am now seeing a cardiologist and undergoing testing on my heart, I just got over kidney stones which caused a kidney infection, I am more exhausted than ever, and worse of all my weight is down... -
I was referred to a cardiologist by my GP. I had my appointment today and the cardiologist ordered a few tests that will take place within the next couple of weeks. He hasn't made a diagnosis yet but based on my history, my EKG, and my high heart rate he is suspecting cardiomyopathy. I read in Dr. Peter Green's book that this is one of the autoimmune...

ARCHIVED Interstitial Cystitis/painful Bladder Syndrome
answerseeker replied to BelleVie's topic in Related Issues & Disorders
I was in the ER a week ago with extreme pain and blood and protein in the urine. Doc said either a kidney stone, UTI that spread to kidneys, or possibly IC. I finished my round of Bactrim but if it comes back I'm going to ask again about the IC. Interesting how I just went through this same thing! -
ARCHIVED Gurgles, Neck Pain, Headache Ugghh
answerseeker replied to answerseeker's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
My OB/GYN is going to revisit the possibility at my 6 week ultrasound. The report said the cyst was possibly endometrieom. Right now they are looking at my kidneys and bladder. Along with this pain I had blood and protein in my urine and it's foul smelling. I'm also lightheaded. I'll update when I find out what's going on! At least I know where to come... -

No infection just blood and protein. Could be stones or the kidneys themselves. -

Uggh so I had my OB/GYN appointment today. She found blood in my urine and lots of protien. So now back to my GP for more tests. Having lab work on my kidneys now. Bladder was very tender upon physical exam and I'm still very lightheaded. For the cysts just a follow up ultrasound in 2 months to check it's stability -

I've progressively have become worse. I was in the ER over the weekend. They thought I had appendicitis but ct scan ruled it out. However the scan showed fluid in my pelvic cul de sac. Had an ultrasound today and have a GI appointment tomorrow. My stools have become little pencil thin pieces for the last 6 days. Don't think this is celiac related :-/ -

answerseeker replied to answerseeker's topic in Related Issues & Disorders
interesting reading, I did google a bit but same as you found inconclusive reports. I did come across some that were looking into the affects but it's just not studied enough. I'm still dealing with these gurgles, altering c and d, stomach cramping etc. For the last 3 weeks our air quality has been in the red zone..which is unhealthy air. Of course my asthma is acting up and I'm dealing with inflammation in general. Is there any data showing that bad air quality could have an effect on your intensities due to inflammation... -

I use Aquanil face wash. I have rosacea and this was recommended by my derm. It's much like Cetaphil but without the film and it doesn't have parabens if that is a concern. Dove sensitive body wash matrix or suave shampoo and conditioner Burts bees lip balms, and red apple lipstick but mostly stick with burts bees. I have like 6 of them! Physicians...
