  1. Yoga but I've missed the last 2 weeks due to this. My asthma has been bad too because of fall allergies. Just lactose but I drink lactose free milk. Don't think I have any others but I will keep an eye out for a link between food and how I'm feeling
  2. Colleen, look at my blog post picture, does yours look like that? That's the rash I get (red dots all over) not raised just flat I *think* it comes after being glutened but still keeping track to see if it is indeed from gluten
  3. Vit D was at 38 in July doc says normal B12 was at 482 Ferritin 31 just this month Magnesium was 1.9 Kaiser doctors say all normal. The only abnormal was very low alkaline phosphate and they said its not a concern :-/
  4. I've been gluten free since July but still getting new or increased symptoms. GI symptoms are pretty much gone but I am experiencing bad muscle pain and weakness. I'm finding it hard to even open a package of crackers and can barely hold my blow dryer up to dry my hair. My finger tips feel cold and tingle sometimes. I'm having a hard time sleeping with...
  5. we had chicken fajita bowls and dessert was Betty Crocker's gluten-free brownie mix......um I do think this will be very bad for me I could have eaten the whole batch
  6. the other day I made the most delicous eggs benedict. It was not made on an english muffin, didn't even want to try to subsitute for a gluten-free one. So I found all natural gluten-free canadian bacon, and was able to find a gluten-free hollandaise sauce mix. They turned out so terrific, I made some for my hubby and he said it was one of the best eggs benedict...
  7. mine shows zero as well, even though I have comments
  8. Oh I wasn't really asking for me, I've already been diagnosed and am getting better. More of just general curiosity :-) its been interesting to read through these threads. Makes some light bulbs go on lol
  9. yes but mine is from my celiac, so in the absense of the other causes and there is a diagnosis of celiac from DH but no detectable villi damage, what causes the malabsorption? that's my question. inflammation?
  10. Interesting thought, I may be one of these celiacs. I was diagnosed by DH but had negative intestinal biopsy, however my GI dr believes it was due to the large amount of prednisone I was on only weeks before testing. But, I still have malabsorption issues so can you still have malabsorption without villi damage? And the lactose intolerance, that's believed...
  11. have you ruled out diabities? increased thirst and urination, moodiness, and leg cramps are all diabities symptoms
  12. that's what my GI dr told me. it seems maybe they will be changing the way they diagnose since there are so many inconsistencies with biopsies. I went through a lot of negative testing before finally breaking out with DH and was diagnosed based on that. I thought my negative results were from being on prednisone (straight through my IV and through a shot...
  13. You could but I think they will still use the biopsy as the diagnostic tool. Others can chime in if they have a different opinion. From my understanding, without damage there won't be antibodies in the blood. However, damage is speradic and could be missed in the biopsy sample which is why they should take 4-7 samples. Most people have had neg blood work...
  14. Biopsy is the gold standard. It will show more than blood tests
  15. I have a friend who tested negative for Celiac, yet several members of her family have it. She gets the stomach pain and several other symptoms after eating gluten. It will be interesting to watch her progression and see if she ends up testing positive
  16. That makes a lot of sense. I don't see how NCGS could "lead" to celiac. And if that were the case I would think NCGS would eventually have malabsorption issues which is not the case. I think the bad diagnosing is the best explanation so far on this issue.
  17. If you look at my blog post, you will see a picture of my rash that I get every time I get glutened. Today I got glutened from some fried rice at Panda Express (my fault). I'm documenting my glutenings and every single time I break out with this rash on my belly. It's also bloated all around as you can see from the picture too! Any idea what this rash could...
  18. I just got off of allergy shots, I tried them for 6 months but didn't see much of a difference, plus because I'm celiac and have vitamin deficiencies I would just end up with huge bruises from the shots. Not pretty, they would just start to heal then it was time for the next week shot!
  19. I was asking about the prednisone because it can heal the vili and give a negative biopsy. That's what happened to me, and I ended up being diagnosed 3 months later with celiac after negative results while on it. I've been on it 4 times in the last year. I personally hate it, yes it gets the job done but the side effects are horrible. My moods changed...
  20. Your antibodies did go down after 2 months gluten free, so that is a change. Have you been on prednisone for your allergies by any chance during any of your endoscopies?
  21. I agree, my allergist diagnosed me as chronic Atypical to many allergens. I've been gluten free since July and have little to no improvement in my fatigue, headaches, body aches, and asthma. My GI issues are completely resolved but I'm still battling inflammation and I belive it's due to chronic allergies. So yes I think it can mask improvement on a gluten...
  22. Well you won't get damage to your intestines, therefore you won't suffer the nutritional deficiencies and all that goes with celiac. However, like Karen said little research has been done on non celiac gluten sensitivity and who knows if it creates any inflammation. Chronic inflammation in the body is not good and can have consequences.
  23. Fall is a bad time of year for me with allergies. My immune system is working overtime fighting through nutritional deficiencies and allergies. I'm completely wiped out. maybe allergies?
  24. I will mention it to my Dr. my MCV was 99 which is borderline high, but like I said Kaiser doesn't consider borderline or even slightly high labs problamatic. When I looked up the macrolastic anemia it said MCV over 95 may point to that.
  25. I'm not on it now. I was on it through my IV in the hospital in June. So it should be out of my system by now? My Dr is going to refer me to hematology for further testing
