  3. Hi Frances, welcome to the board! I have two thoughts--one is that you could be sensitive to one of the ingredients in the Kirkland brand. The other, more likely in my opinion, is cross contamination as in made on the same lines as a flavor that contains gluten like cookie dough or something similar. I've had reactions to some ice creams and not others...
  4. I only cook gluten-free meals, but my husband does occasionally eat foods with gluten. I rinse all the dishes well and they all go into the dishwasher together. It's never been a problem and I've been doing this for nearly 5 years.
  5. Must phind Khar-in on da book..... In the "small world" dept--we just had an old friend/colleague of Mark's who happens to be in town over for dinner. He lives in Seattle and his wife is doing a bike marathon tomorrow in the same town where Jess lives.

The one thing that I remember most was the feeling of waking up in the morning and actually looking forward to the day. For so long, it was all I could do to get out of bed because I had a constant sense of dread and anxiety. I had it for so long that it seemed normal...

  13. Could he have meant collagenous colitis? That is found by examining samples taken during a colonoscopy--it's also called microscopic colitis and can be associated with Celiac.
  14. I'm afraid this is my fault, Judith. I failed to enter your new email address into my gmail account--I just had it in my Comcast one. I coulda sworn I added it to both accounts..... That explains why you didn't get the forward I sent to everyone. So-o-o-o-o......I throw myselph on the mercy of the court Anywho, it's been rectified (hee! I...
  15. Hi Judith So happy you were able to log on! We stayed in--Mark brought home take-out from PF Changs. I had a really nice day--heard from lots of family and friends--just perfect
  16. I've incorporated flax into my diet--lots of good fiber and a great source of omega 3's.
  17. Hi and welcome Yes, with all that airborne flour you are most definitely inhaling and in turn, swallowing some flour. If you're in that environment day after day, even those traces are going to add up. As far as the acne connection, when I get glutened, I almost always get a breakout--usually one spot, and usually on my chin that takes forever...
  18. I agree with the ladies above, and would add that it can take a while for the fatigue to let up. There's a lot of healing going on in there, and especially if you have been sick for a a long time, your body is going to crave rest. It was one of the last symptoms to improve for me--for about 3 months I felt like I could not get enough sleep and even...
