    ARCHIVED Made A Dent

Sounds great! Little by little, we chip away at it....
  2. Hi, I like Pacific Foods Organic Free Range Chicken Broth--it's both gluten and dairy free. It's available at Whole Foods, Kroger, and other regular grocery stores either in the "Natural" section or with the other broths and soups.
  3. Will be nice to see you! If it doesn't take, you may have to resize the pic smaller.
  4. My vote--hands down The Gluten Free Pantry. Betty Crocker is also very good but gets stale much faster and is not as chocolatey. The only problem I have with GFP is that the brownie mix is hard to find in my area. It comes in and is sold out very quickly. Have a Happy Birthday!
  5. Hee! I did invite him to the board....although not sure how I feel about my worlds colliding
  6. I wanna be a shepherd too One of Mark's drivers was in the office this afternoon and they all got to talking about Valentines Day and what everybody's plans were. Mark mentioned that since I have some "food allergies" we're limited in where we choose to go. Anyway, the guys says--"gluten?" Turns out he's been having symptoms and his sister...
  7. That's some fancy schmancy shepherding! But aren't those sheep's phaces cute? Is it just a co-inky-dink that the wee pic in Em's signature is of Leonardo Bah Vinci???
  8. OMGawd Shroomie--ain't that the troof!
  9. Ha--see, but we can make it phunny Like how do you get the 'lil chips to stay crunchy whilst cooking them in hot liquid? Of course, it would have been slightly phunnier if you had decided to make it in a crock pot....
  10. I think I'm going through a second childhood!! Hee! Em wants to pursue shepherdism
  11. Swear to gawd....I just scrolled up seconds after posting and there was Em wif the two pups Phab pic, Em--you look great
  12. I'm still seeing Elsie and Charles--even after refreshing... Still don't know what I want to be when I grow up....when I was young, the age I am now seemed so old but I still feel (mentally) like I did at 20.
  13. Just have to add my two cents in support of the Neti Pot! I use mine regularly, especially throughout the cold and flu season. It's great for a stuffy nose, post nasal drip, and the cough that it causes. Hope you feel better soon!
  14. Thanks for the heads up. I may not have thought to look at the ingredients of a plain bag of frozen veggies for an allergy statement. Just shows that it is wise to read every label every time--I'm sensitive enough that foods with a "may contain traces of..." affect me every time.
  15. What a charming story I can't wait to hear how it all went!
  16. Depressing? Nah--plus, add 10 years and we could be twins
  17. I hear you, Bunnie. I think a lot of us go through something like this at one time or another. Probably a good thing--really--keeps us from getting in a rut. There's a world of possibilities out there and something will click for you, it's just a matter of time.
  18. Yeah, I agree. My advice would be to try going completely gluten-free for 6 weeks, keeping a simple food/symptom diary. Gas is your body's way of telling you that you're eating something that you are intolerant to. Your symptoms sound very familiar--and I never burp either. When I was still having symptoms, the gas would shoot upwards and cause such...
  19. Hi and welcome to the board! Yes, this happens to a lot of us. Your appetite should even back out over time as you heal, but maybe try eating some protein with each meal or snack to keep your blood sugar even. Things like an apple with nut butter, gluten-free trail mix, a Lara Bar, a piece of string cheese with some fruit or celery make good snacks....
  20. Hi Sugarlump, Jello is a Kraft company, and will always list any gluten in the ingredient list. All you have to do is read--if it's not listed, it's not in there.
  21. It's been raining straight for the last 12 hours or so.....infinitely thankful that it's not snaugh. Me sons got well over 3 feet between last weekend and Wednesday--Matt's work was closed yesterday, he went in today at noon for what he was told was a delayed opening and when he arrived, no one else was there. All that driving on icy roads with...
  22. Thank you--I'm looking forward to it returning. Darn right! (sorry Jan-it)
