  2. As my friends have pointed out (and thank you both so much...Peter with statistics, even... )-- I do like to talk....but silly-ness aside, back in 2005 I had been undiagnosed and sick for over 20 years before finding out what the trouble was. By then, I had been told it was all in my head for so long and kept so much to myself about dealing with the symptoms...
  3. Ooh Jan-it....Could all be worth it if that dreamy Mike Rowe pops outta yer drain!
  4. Hiya Oscar--so yer tellin' us PeOter is in the can? Tis more preferable than using the drain
  5. That looks like a list given out by a doctor's office. I'm going to guess it has some outdated information--I remember the list my gastro gave me....it was ancient.
  6. Do you have a crock pot? That would be the easiest way to be able to throw a bunch of ingredients in and get a whole meal out without dealing with different steps. You could also do a soup--put a whole chicken in a big pot, cover chicken with cold water. Add a peeled onion, a couple stalks of chopped celery, 2-3 cloves of garlic, some salt/pepper...
  7. The "whole grain" declaration refers to the corn. Yeast is gluten free. Popcorn Indiana states that they don't use any gluten ingredients and they also test for the presence of gluten. I've never had the Chipins, but I love their popcorn. Their Smoked Cheddar Popcorn is absolutely addictive Open Original Shared Link
  8. Sure does, and it's good to be conscientious about your health. Just try to keep it all in perspective and strike a balance so that you don't focus on it too much. I understand that the anxiety can get the best of you sometimes--every once in a while I still have to remind myself to take a deep breath and chill
  9. Yes, generally I would agree with what your doctor said about the challenge but I suggested it to you because this seems to be eating at you for a long time. In all the years I've been on here, I don't think I've suggested that more than a couple times--if that. As far as the related diseases you fear, you know that when we stay on the diet our chances...
  10. Hi Jason, Ravenwood has a good point--I would add that you could even go the whole route and do a gluten challenge for 3-4 months since you don't get the horrible reactions, and then get tested. If this is of any help, I'm Celiac but I will go out to eat on occasion and am not afraid of potential damage. I choose carefully, of course, but then I...
  11. Once a bird got into our dryer vent and died--the laundry room stunk for quite a while..... We did put a mesh thingy on the vent opening--but of course this was after.....
  12. Yeah--the music was too loud, but really good. I like ole Bob, though.... Did something go behind something else and die in there?

  14. Reminds me....Mark was telling me last week that he was talking to a couple other guys at the office and I guess he complained about something because one of the guys said--"want me to go into the ladies' room and get you a tampax?" Mark replied--"Don't use 'em, I'm past menopause".

  17. Last night on the CBS comedy, Mike and Molly, there were several scenes in a bakery where two of the characters were talking--and right between them, on full view, was a sign that said 'gluten free bread now available'. It wasn't a "blink and you might miss it" either--they showed it at least twice Here is a clip--you have to get through the advertisement...
