  1. Please stay away from weight loss supplements...they are a danger and you should consentrate more on eating 6 healthy, small meals a day and exercise ( try not to eat after 6 pm). I was on a supliment (ok trim spa) in the spring and it shot my cholesterol up from being low (I had my cholesterol checked first only a week before I went on the pills) to dangerously...
  2. I'm talking to my GI about the same problems on Monday when I see him. Did not think I had a problem with Dairy until I went gluten-free. Now everytime I have dairy I get the worse stomach aches and even a body cream with Milk in it gave me a rash. This is so unfair! I love cheese, milk, cream! AHHHHHHHHHHH. Hugs Bridget
  3. Doesn't Delphi say to be careful with Nutragena because the Swiss have different standards for Gluten? I just got Tropical Traditions Citrus Body Cream and it is great ( Doesn't give me a rash like Burts Bees Did). Clean and Clear is all gluten-free and you can read their written response as well as over a hundred other companies from the last 5 weeks in...
  4. Dr Murray at the Mayo Clinic, one of the most highly respected celiac specialists, gave me these 2 sites for checking if a medication is gluten free. www.clanthompson.com Click on "Celiac Site", then on "Resources", then on "Free Info List". or www.glutenfreedrugs.com Hope this helps you. Hugs Bridget My pharmasist has no clue about gluten...
  5. I wrote Mrs Dask and Emrils (you can see their replies in my old posts under one of the "product info" posts) and both Emril and Mrs. Dask Spices all varieties are gluten-free (Mrs. Dash glazes are not gluten-free though). Bridget
  6. Thanks for the info, I posted a response from Nestle a while back with their gluten-free products. Actually my fave gluten-free coco, if you want to try others, is Swiss Miss FF Marshmellow Lovers ( I wrote and called Con Agra and posted them before too, they will never hide ingredients, and all their milk chocolate cocoa is gluten-free). Yummy! Bridge

  9. I only came back because Jen was pestering me to look at the posts. Sorry Tiffany that I got your name wrong, I was just really upset before. As you see, I put on a different picture (just for this post) and as you see, I'm a human being with feelings and not just a faceless entity in your comp. I just did not understand why, after I stated many times that...
  10. Whoa, stop there. I never said thedelphi was a lie. I said it should be used as a guide, but not a bible (meaning that products are always changing and delphi is not updated every day...plus you may have other things than just Celiac so some people could have reactions to things that others don't). When I was first diagnosed Delphi was my savior, and I still...
  11. Firstly I'm sorry if you thought I was rude. Secondly the post above yours was NOT POSTED BY ME but Lisa07. Thirdly, I've already apologised if anyone took what I said the wrong way. I do not have a list, I only post responses I've gotten from companies to help others. I did not put down delphi list, only said that doctors who specialize in celiac told me...
  12. Always WAS good, especially sice I was a very heavy bleeder, but since they changed to the "Cotton Weave" I had nothing but itching. 6 months ago I switched to Stayfree, and while the wings are not as protecting....I'd recomment them. Hugs Bridget
  13. I've been terrified lately with tooth pain and reciding/itch gums in the last couple months since I actually went gluten-free. I always had perfect teeth, now I'm afraid I'm going to end up losing them. My mouth is so dry no matter how much water I drink!
  14. Be careful with Burts Bees...they cannot gurantee their product lines. I used one of their gluten-free products (from their list) and I had a rash for over a week. With more inquiry they admited that they do not clean their lines between products and gluten containing products are run on the same lines...see the same type of debate over "Dove" under new posts...
  15. Kim, Jersey, and Everyone. Thanks Kim for the things you said and I'm sorry if it seemed like I was just coming down on Jersey. I did not mean it that way and I was just frustrated because I had already posted that Dove letter twice before. I'm sorry if it came down like I was attacking anyone. I think it came more out of frustration of being glutened by...

  17. True but a lot of people who have celiac disease also suffer from DH...and if you have ever had DH then just "washing it off" is not so easy and the misserable rash occurs even without injestion. I'm sorry but for those people any possability of CC on a product line is too much of a chance to take. I didn't drink "Burts Bees Body Cream" but still got a rash...
  18. Have you been tested for RA or sent to a rhumatois specialist? All summer I was having very bad hip pain constantly. I couldn't lay on my side, hurt if I sat too long, ETC. Finally I was sent to a Rhumatoidoligist and they did a lot of indepth tests. Came back that my celiac (and having not been put on a gluten-free diet so long) caused borderline RA...being...
  19. There is a lot of debate on the Gluten Free Bible not being reliable....check out the reading section of this forum about members posts on this book. It is not Good! Jax Peters Lowell does not check her facts. Best book I found is "A Personal Touch on Celiac Disease" put out by "A Personal Touch Publishing" and written by celiacs (some chapters even written...
  20. Does Anyone Ever Read My Posts Regarding Product Updates? Dove was one of the first ones I posted. I spent at least 8 hours a day contacting 150 companies in 3 weeks. I posted them to help everyone. It is up to you to read them! It is up to us to get all the knowledge we can so WE can be well. I should not be having to post this over and over and serve it...

  22. Its an ongoing war...I'm still fighting it.
  23. Hello Bridget. I apologize for the delay in my response, but I wanted to thoroughly research the answer before I wrote back to you. Other customers have also asked us this same question, letting us know that occasionally extracts have a grain alcohol base, and if that alcohol base were a wheat alcohol, that would be a problem for those who are gluten intolerant...
  24. Thank You SO MUCH!!! I LOVE CHEESECAKE. BIG HUGS!!! WORDS CAN NOT EXPRESS HOW HAPPY I AM BRIDGE
  25. Hope you all enjoy these from the Mayo Clinic. Hugs Bridge ********************************************* Rocky Road Brownies Absolutely and completely decadent. Chocoholics will love this one. If nuts are not appropriate for your diet, omit them or substitute them with something else. ½ cup brown rice flour ½ cup brown sugar or m...
