Glad it went well! Yep, apparently on my first scope I was pretty out of it in the recovery room. My mom said I asked the nurse (who was very patient with me, lol) the same question 3 times. Never did remember the answer, or even what the question was, but apparently it was important enough at the time for me to ask it three times (having not remembered that I already asked it).
How long before you know the results? I go for mine tomorrow. It took about a week for mine to come back.

I am sooo excited, for the first time I put in twelve hours of non stop action since I have been diagnosed. I played seven softball games yesterday and then our team took second in the state championships. I just really really wanted to tell someone. Thanks for reading this!
~Lightningfoot
Wow, fantastic!!!! Congratulations on the championships and congratulations on feeling good enough to make it through!

Hi guys, sick as a DOG since 2 am. I knew I would pay, but this is crazy. I cannot believe how bad I feel from just one measly meal. I guess either the ham or the fried green tomatoes probably both. I THOUGHT ham didn't make me sick. The ham was in the freezer from Memorial Day, but I'm the only one feeling like well, SPINACH....I am so peed off with this whole *spinach* illness thing. I am JUST SO SICK OF BEING SICK. Does anyone else get really ticked off and sick of it all and just want to curl up and cry in frustration? What am I saying, of course you all do. I am just venting. Oh, well, I wasn't going to do much today anyway--too hot. Thanks for letting me vent. I am going to go crawl back to bed. Took another immodium at 7 so I only have one left I can take. I'll check in later, hopefully. --I do NOT deserve any kind of nice words, I brought this spinach on myself. Dh pretty much said that too this morning
Nice, I needed that Mr. Spinach head. (I didn't say that to him, but that is what I thought) Ok, that was too obscene, sorry
Too many curse words here. Hope you all have a great day. I am going to get some sugar from my dog. (what do newbies think when they read this stuff?!!!)
Of course you deserve nice words...we all do stuff we know we shouldn't. Sometimes we do it to test the waters and sometimes we just do it because we want to. I've done it with the stupid Krispy Creme cream filled donut a few 100 pages back. You do not deserve spinach!
(By-the-way, does DH know the meaning of SPINACH, lol, I'm thinking you could have called him that and he wouldn't have known exactly what you were saying...oops, I mean, it's a good thing you didn't call him that.)
I AM sorry you're sick! Take it easy and rest up.

Hi everyone!
Well, we have tropical storm Chris on it's way, it's heading tward Puerto Rico now and will be going to the Virgin Isands in about 3 days, at this time it's expected to be a hurricane... good googly moogly here we go again....
Right now it's 60 mph and is gaining strength.
Oh my!!!!

here in the Land of Fruits and Nuts, maybe because produce is plentiful year-round, we never did those things. I think it's sad.....because those traditions, tedious as they are (Robbin - don't vomit at the sight of an ear of corn!), allow you to reap thebenefits and rewards during the long cold winters. I am jealous....my mom made jams and jellies and has canned some peaches, but that's about it. I am jealous of you guys that had farm chores and the aforementioned food chores - it builds character and teaches important lessons early in life. DAng, a whole day of ear-shucking and all of it.....very taxing but YOU will be eating your delicious creamed corn in the winter, and I will not!
Posting prematurely....
Land of the Fruits and Nuts...in more ways than one!!!!
I am jealous too...I was born and raised in California, so no real traditions or isms here.
Donna -how many bracelets today?!Only three, lol. I had to go out to singing practice, but I've got one all laid out ready to string.
(Mango, Patti, and I -and everyone else dairy free- can have fabulous sorbet) and an over all feeling of happiness and joy because of it.Works for me...I am LOVING my mango sorbet!!! I don't eat in the mass quantities that Rachel does but I have it everyday, lol.

They thought she wanted to iron his boxers
I think my mom used to iron my dad's boxers, lol.

Susan, Donna...are you both registered for Stanford? Is it too late? Is there a cutoff? Are you guys going for sure? I'm assuming there will be lots of food...which sucks for me cuz I cant eat it but what else goes on there? Need more info puleeeze. I want to go.
Okay, I've tried to reply to this twice and every time I do someone brings me work, lol. I am registered and paid for so I'm going for sure. I can't remember what the cut off is. Here is a link to the schedule:
Open Original Shared Link
and here is a link to the main page, which has a button for on-line registration:
Open Original Shared Link
I'm figuring I can eat a little but probably not most of what they'll have, but it should be fun anyway...I love to shop and who knows, BUMBLE BARS might be there!
Maybe they'll have gluten free ice cream!
-
And, by the way, is everyone remembering to "tighten, release, tighten, release..." as they sit at their computer?
Oh, glad you reminded me. Rachel are your muscles sore from your tighten/squeeze fest the other day?
-
That is such great news on Megan!!! Woo hoo!
-
You should start making afghans. they're just like scarves, but bigger. I learned how to make them first, then scarves.
My next obsession!
Donna, you're going too - - yay! Yes, decorum and civlity, but with some smirking and giggling....
Yes I'm going...already paid for registration and yes, decorum, civility and a lot of smirking and giggling.
yeah but how do you do it for MORE than one post you want to reply too...I just get lucky sometimes and keep prematurely posting to different ones, but I type so quickly that they just keep adding to the one(s) I did (if no one's posted after me).
I copy whatever I want to quote--like just one paragraph...before the paragraph you type
and at the end of the paragraph you type [/quote ] (but without the spaces between the e and the ].I shucked on Saturday (really, only one ear, but still shucked).
Been wondering how you were! Hang in there, it sounds like you are on the right track. I just started a lower histamine diet yesterday, so it's probably too soon for me to tell, but I can say that my legs didn't itch quite as much as they did the day before...could be coincidence or the placebo factor, but whatever, makes no difference, they didn't itch as much.
I made 4 more last night.
Sorry, but that just struck me funny! I LOVE your new picture by the way.

Hey Donna I just bought a bead book @ a yard sale but no directions. Do you buy beads and wire separetly?
I think I might be interested i n doing that myself. maybe you are into it enuf you can get them wholesale/
do you take them to flea markets or taKE ONLINE ORDERS OR?? or maybe 000 of my beezwax?
i used to know a lady who made them up & took to Branson, Mo. to sell. she ddi ok but not all of her income.
\Isn't this a great group here? evie
I like short necklaces!!
I've only just started, so not too much experience yet, lol. I did buy the wire and beads separately, and since I just wanted to play, I also bought the elastic plastic "thread" and used that for the ones I made this weekend. My co-worker beads, so this morning she showed me how to use a crimp bead, so maybe this coming weekend I'll try a clasp closure. I don't know if I'll ever sell them, but I'm having fun making them.
Okay, I was trying to quote evie, but the darned servers said I talk to much!
I have a few turquoise i should use too if can find right wire & such but when do you have time ot work jewelry?? sounds like sooo manny kinds of beads & stones!!! I have crocheted myself to oblivion, qulted till my fanny caked and now into flowqers and gardenoing...anyway never get bored. when I was in 30's I thought by this age i would be in rocking chair mostly...Not at all!! later...evieThat's the neat thing about these bracelets...they really only took about 30 minutes to string. I can do some here and there. I do not plan to get bored (any more than I already am, lol) either. I happen to like rocking chairs, but mine will be turbo.
Right now I am painting all all floors to look like fake interesting wood. I had to wait till inspiration struck at Home Depot when I saw two gallons of mistints. One was orange and the other fuscia and my husband thought I was crazy but he trusts me and with the aid of glazes over top of the design it does almost look like wood and has this warm glow. Now if I could just getted motivated to do more floors, I've only done the living room.Wow, that's impressive!!!! I bet the floor is beautiful.
Oh, Susan you must bring some to Stanford. I have an idea, you set a price and all of us in Rachelville will buy a bracelet or bracelets from you and we will all be connected through that! Someone think of a name!Excellent idea!
Sally - - OMG - -what an idea - - so you're going to Stanford too, for sure!? Yay!! Wish all of the Silly Yaks in our cult farm could go - - but we'd probably get kicked out for laughing too much....(I am goign to behave at this event )A little misbehaving is in order isn't it, although I DO plan to maintain some sort of civility.
-
Great news!!!!
-
Donna, good for you....may I suggest you never buy your beads/etc. in bead stores....four to six times markup - - I go to the wholesale shows, of course, but anyone can attend (you don't need resale license in the front half - the size of a football field - of the show) in San Mateo every year, but they are nationwide.....at least buy from a catalog, such as Rio Grande or Fire Mountain Gems! I will post a photo of jewelry sometime.....just sterling with semi-precious gemstone and pearls (lots of chalcedony, tanzanite, iolite, raw, untreated rubies, peridot, turqoise, quartz, blah blah, every color and every semi-precious gem...lemon pineapple.....prehnite....amazonite.....SOMEBODY STOP ME.....) my jewelry's a little on the bohemian side.....I steal ideas from fragments.com, Sundance catalog, In Style magazine - - I do lots of the individually-lined sterling wire kind, like the rosary-style - tedious and time-consuming! HOpe to take a jewelry class soon, actually make my own sterling findings and things....it will consume me....
oh my gosh, I just hung up with one of my good friends, who told me to post this to you all - - - she is SO jealous of our cult and WANTS to be Celiac so she can join
She calls us Silly Yaks and when I told her about the job application and the purple glittery bats, she said, I WANT TO JOIN......
just love this, we will have bumper stickers in the cult farm:
SPINACH HAPPENS
I love it, SPINACH HAPPENS!
Too funny about your friend...but understandable, we are unique and fun!
I like natural stones too...years ago I used to dabble at making my own earrings so had a bunch of beads left from that. I still get free passes to the gem show at San Mateo...I think they have beads there too sometimes. I'm trying to NOT let this become an obsession like all my other crafty type things have become, but I have a feeling it will be hard. I can't wear earrings any more but love bracelets. My friend showed me how to crochet on a cruise last year...have I mentioned that I have 200 scarves in every color imaginable.
-
Oh Susan, what kind of jewlery do you make, I just love jewlery!
Me too!!! I just (as in Friday) decided to try to make my own bracelets and went and bought some beads this weekend...that's one of the reasons why I wasn't on the board yesterday...made 3 bracelets.
-
Okay, just spent 1 hour reading all the pages I missed...I had a busy weekend and wasn't able to keep current, so these are OLD replies, lol:
Just saw Donna's jobMe too!!
and RACHEL....get a hold of yourself......you know they have meetings for people like you, who are lost in their addictions to a substance....oh......wait......I don't think they address the ice cream addiction specifically....
Do not fear, gentle citizens of R-ville! We shall simply never, EVER run short of Altoids, ice cream, inordinately large and impossibly sweet mangos grown without Auxigro, Hershey's Nuggets with Almonds (in fact I am goign to the store just now in my pajamas to get some)....what else? all the histamine-free produce and spinach you can eat, you name it!! None of it will ever, ever run out.Bumble Bars & peanut butter.
There was so much goose crap all over the road, that as the bike traveled down the road, it would kick up all the goose crap into the wagon and the girls would come in splattered with goose crap all over their faces and clothes. The bike wheels would kick it up into their faces.Like some of us, our geese shall be poopless. (or, shall poop on our neighboring farms.)
My point being that spinach happens to everyone!!!!!!
OMG tika, the older dingo who doesn't get into things like Annie does but BENEFITS from it .....she just let out a ripper, such a loud one that it scared her and she ran out of the room......am sitting here cracking up.....OMG!!!
Hi everyone else!!!

Rachel - I'm not sure what one has to do to get the trophy, lol, but whatever it is I'm sure I am not in the running.
I did not end up going to Bed Bath & Beyond so I am safe on the ice cream maker for another week, lol. (although I did look for it at Target, lol)
I think I did well grocery shopping this morning...I think I am low histamine for the coming week. I'm anxious to see how that will affect things. I found some organic corn tortillas, not the FFL brand and these are pretty small, but I'm anxious to try them. THe only ingredients are corn flour, lime and water and they are light in color kind of like the flour tortillas I love so much. They don't say organic though...Whole Foods did have one brand that was organic which I may try if I like these. P.S. I didn't buy any Bumble Bars or chocolate, lol.

Donna- I have been off eggs for probably a couple months now, I was eating them everyday, sometimes twice a day, for years. I was highly allergic to them on my allergy test, I decided to take them out and see if it made a difference. So far so good.
Okay I KNOW those links must be good ones because every one I clicked on I got the "FORBIDDEN on this server" message, lol!
Funny thing about the eggs for me is that I had the egg test from Enterolabs so I know I'm not intolerant and I had allergy testing (stratch) done a couple of years ago and didn't have a reaction to that either.
-
My neighbor suggested something for me as far as eggs go. he said that a lot of the smell (What I have a problem with) and the taste of eggs is in the yolk. He said to try to make eggs using egg whites and some seasoning and see if I can tolerate it. I haven't tried it yet since this was last night, but I will sure let you know if it works.
I'm interested to see. I may try it too, but my favorite part is actually the yoke, lol.

Thumbs up on our Rachelville Trophy!!!
Sadly, I don't think I could even be in the running for the trophy, but I'll get over it, lol.
Okay, I may persuade my mom and aunt to go shopping at bed bath & beyond today to look for that STUPID ice cream maker.
I'm not even a huge fan of ice cream
...blasphemy!
-
Premature posting - thanks for teaching us that Susan!!!
edit - hey you guys - did you see that thread entitled "I found spinach" or something like that? thought we might have gotten busted or somethingabout too much spinaching of our pants, but it was a serious question about....spinach!
OMG, I'm so glad I'm not the only one who thought that when I saw that thread, lol!
Hi Rachelville friends! I just had to stop by an internet cafe and visit Rachelville, because I'm hungry and I miss the place where all the food is safe and happy and gluten and auxigro and everything else free! Grow me some food and have the geese fly it over! LOL haha...but it's okay...I'll figure out how to eat here! I even found a place today that sells Bumble Bars!I don't really know what's going on in Rachelville, but I saw a box of altoids showed up
and the population grew! My internet time's up.. gotta go!
Woo hoo Bumble Bars in Australia!!!
Hi Mango!!!
Donna-once again, thank you so much for the great info. Spinach has always bothered me-now I know why. You're welcome. When I did the SCD diet I waited a couple of weeks to try spinach...something that I had eaten fairly regularly before then and it literally made me feel nauseated. I think I'm a little more sensitive than I thought to stuff, lol. Eggs have become the same way. I can still tolerate them hard boiled or as egg salad, but every other method of cooking makes me feel nauseated when I try to eat them. I think I need to listen more to my body, lol.
-
Ingreditents... Half -n- half and frozen strawberries . Why cant the stores make it that simple??
The million dollar question...I've often wondered the same thing!
-
OMG...does this mean you actually read one of my "scientific" posts??
Celia - yay for your kids.
Good news on Megan!
Evie - you're welcome! It's a whole lot of info...I'm trying to figure out the histamine thing AND the inflammation thing...I think I've decided to get the histamine thing down first then tweak it in a few weeks to include the inflammation thing, lol.
Speaking of histamine...my legs are really itchy again today...hoping if I reduce the histamine levels a bit that might go away.
-
Donna,
You've been doing lots of research lately. Did the plums settle well with you?
Yes, it was a little slow at work today, so when there's no work I can play. Well, I think the warning from Penguin was kind of applicable (reminding me of the prune affect, lol)...but that was okay because I'd had C for a couple of days.
-
WHAT ELSE IS THERE TO EAT!!!!! JEEZ! I don't think I could do that if I wanted to. I'm a total carnivore and cheese hound.
I am a total carnivore too...love my meat...I think just reducing the overall load is what counts, so I'll do it in the other areas mostly.
-
Oh, Lord, but I suddenly feel awful! Bloated stomach, dry mouth - what have I done now! I'm going to bed. Have a lovely afternoon and evening, y'all!
Cissie
Sorry Cissie, hope it goes away fast!

Wow Tavi! I'm so sorry. I used to feel nauseated a lot...I always thought it was because of my constant sinus infections and the drip associated with it, but now I'm not so sure. I did feel nauseated after the Krispy Creme incident, but actually never threw up. I think I had some cross contamination issue a few weeks ago after eating at a place that I eat at every week...I am usually okay, but felt nauseated after that one time. I don't know what you could do that would work quickly...I usually don't throw up, so I never have anything around for it.
