  1. I've had so much dental work done that the numbing stuff doesn't bother me (but who knows what it does to my body) anymore, but he gave me injections in 3 places yesterday and I swear on the third one my whole body felt like it had been given a tranquilizer and went limp! Everything just relaxed--all of a sudden. That freaked me out a little cuz that's...
  2. Laura, so sorry about the C.Diff!!! My doctor was sure that's what I had since I had the D for so long, but fortunately for me that wasn't it. Andrea, that testing sounds very interesting!
  3. Hi and welcome!
  4. Hello and welcome!!
  5. From what I've been hearing Chlorella mobilizes the mercury, but that it doesn't actually get rid of it...the mercury once mobilized can redistribute itself into other tissues/organs if something isn't taken along with it to "bind" with it so it will be excreted out. My doctor has me taking modified citrus pectin (it's a type of fiber) to "bind" with the...
  6. Carla! I've been wondering how you were doing on the meds! Wow, 6 Nystatin and no reaction...wow, lol. Thanks, yes, I think his assistant will also mention numbing me for the drilling, lol. It's a really small filling, but from my experience with the other one which is almost exactly the same size...I want to be numbed for this.
  7. Wow Rachel, thanks for all the info you posted...it explains a lot for me! I was wondering why I used to feel sort of loopy when I did the candida diet/antifungals, lol. Anyway, molybdenum is in some of my vitamins. I suspect you could probably find it by itself though. Molybdenum just came up on something for me but I can't remember what...it must...
  8. I always seem to stumble in here during the most interesting discussions!
  9. It IS possible to react to the meat itself. I have many intolerances, including a couple of meats, and my reactions are similar to if I had ingested gluten.
  10. Some restaurants that I know of that can make a gluten-free meal, but aren't necessarily gluten-free restaurants are PF Changs, Outback and Maggiano's. I've personally never done the gluten-free menu at any of these however so can't comment on any experiences.
  11. I'll let Rachel answer later because she has a better memory than I do, but the panel I was tested on had little vials with the names of bacteria on them I think. There was a separate panel for Lyme bacteria. That was all during my initial testing...I haven't been treated for that yet though. or if I was standing next you...
  12. Sorry, I can't help with this one...don't have periods anymore so can't tell when "that time" is, lol. I can say that when I DID have my period, I felt HORRIBLE for at least two weeks including the time before and after and yes I would have major D, horrible bloating, pain, you name it. I can't really tell how much of that was gluten though. Most of the...
  13. I've eaten the turkey legs 3 or 4 times without issue. One other time I had a stomach ache, but on that day I also had the McDonalds fries and ate at a restaurant, so it's hard to say where the cross contamination came from (other than the fries which are at a stand that only serves fries).
  14. Hum, worth a try, lol.
  15. The earrings I wore yesterday were hoops, with wire ear thingies--not really posts and definitely thinner than posts. When I was younger, I could wear any type of earring...cheapy fake stuff, silver, gold. The only thing I was NEVER able to wear was platinum. Then as the years went on I couldn't wear the cheap stuff, but could still wear silver and gold...
  16. Well interestingly I was able to wear my 14kt gold earrings yesterday for the entire day. Put them in at 7:00 a.m. and didn't take them out until around 7:00 p.m. Ears didn't hurt and didn't even forgot I was wearing earrings at one point. The right ear was fine, but the left ear had just a little pain and a little weepage when I took the earring out....
  17. Thank you girls for saying so beautifully what I've been trying to think of to say since yesterday! I think it would be a shame to change the dynamics of this thread at this point in time. I believe that eventually it will evolve on its own anyway, but for now WE need it.
  18. We did the meal pass thing. It worked just fine for gluten-free/CF. My friend doesn't have celiac, it was only me, and I had no problem. Advance planning is probably the best way to go, but I actually just walked up to the counter and asked if someone could help me with a special diet (at a counter service food court). They brought the chef out who went...
  19. Ah Rachel, sorry about the ice cream, but I think in the end you'll be better off and the stupid candida will die faster. Stupid candida! To everyone: What facial cleansers and moisturizers do you use? I ask here because so many can't do stuff with fragrances, etc. I used Cetaphil for years, but my face was breaking out big time last year, so...
  20. Can one have Babesia without having Lyme? I've been having testing by BioSET and that testing didn't show any Lyme connection....but I'm not sure they also tested for the co-infections. I still have lots of symptoms of Lyme and/or Babesia, but without it showing up on the bioSET testing I don't know if I'll get the WB done...I may if I go see Rachel's doctors...
  21. I think I'm afraid to see the video. Yikes! I bet nickel is in a lot of things I don't realize. **** I forgot one of the most interesting things about today's appointment. Injections came up. She had a weird look on her face with that one so said it questioningly. I get allergy shots once a month now, and for the past 3-...
  22. I don't shop at either, lol. Before BioSET I'd only been to the Great Mall once before. Last week I arrived very early so decided to look around and found myself in Kohls, lol. I could think of worse places to find myself. Anyway, it's kind of like Mervyns...they carry the same kind of merchandise and even some of the same brands. I gave up on Valley...
  23. Oh, and it's our duty to spend more than the gift certificate, lol. It's a law.
  24. I think I've only been in a AF store a couple of times...what the heck is wrong with them, lol. Why on earth would they put perfume on the clothing? Sheesh! Stupid perfume! I'm not nearly as sensitive to it as you are, but I could NEVER wear something that had perfume on it. I can't even stand next to someone for very long if they are wearing it without...
  25. I'm pretty interested in seeing how the wheat panel and food panels affect me. I felt really tired and drained last week, but so far not to bad today, although I think I really could just go pop in a movie and lay on the couch for a while.
