  1. Glad to hear you are doing well today. Yep, did indeed! It's so nice to not have to battle the heavy traffic at my normal time. I agree! For a long time after my dad died I went around telling everyone I loved them, but you know, time kind of snuck up on me...I think it's time to remind everyone again. That's one reason why every...
  2. Fortunately no dishwasher or washing machine, lol...but the bathroom has enough for all of us. I think I may have been part of that same board, lol. Went back there a few weeks ago and the tone was very different. Me too! This is just a very comfortable place. Even admist the strife sometimes, there is always this little corner of...
  3. Hello and welcome!!! Sounds like you have a good start to it all. It can take quite a while for the intestines to heal and while they are healing you may still experience some negative symptoms. Some people heal quickly, but for some it can take a year or more to heal. It's always possible that there may also be other intolerances too--casein in dairy...
  4. Yah, that's what I was afraid of, lol. I don't have windows in my bathroom, but I SHOULD use the fan thingy. I ran out of masks...I used to HAVE to use them whenever I cleaned or vacuumed...guess I need to get more although I'm not sure the kind I had would have been much protection against mold. And, the last part of your post is exactly what...
  5. Well, we didn't eat at a restaurant and if we had it certainly wouldn't have been romantic since I went with a friend, lol, but I just wanted to welcome you to the board and to say "hope you have a great romantic time".
  6. I've never been able to determine if it's an allegery, but in the past couple of years I have suspected something is up with almond, but I really think it may be the mold issue. All nuts came up on the BioSET testing, but so did all oils and most if not all molds, so it could be an issue with the mold or with the oil in them. I've been having just a little...
  7. My doctor put me on an anti-candida diet about 2-3 weeks ago, so I hadn't had any fruit until last week when I had half an apple. I definitely reacted to something and that was the only different thing I had had, and it COULD be just the sugar alone, but who knows. At first I thought this was mainly a European thing, but when I did the google search you...
  8. You might try Cliff Nectar or Lara bars.
  9. Thanks...yah, I get it does sound like allergic reaction...I also had the goopy eye thing going on in the middle of the night...I haven't had that in a while either.
  10. Yikes! No wonder I react to some fresh fruits! Candida is definitely a problem for me.
  11. Tantrum alert, tantrum alert, lol. Ack!!! Sore throat!!!! I started feeling it last night before bed, but it was just barely there...then during the night I kept waking up with it and it was worse and worse, and one side of my nose was stuffed up. I finally got up and took 1000 mg of Vit C which seemed to help (all in my mind?? lol) enough...
  12. That's what I thought too, and one reason why I posted it. Some of the things you posted earlier just struck a chord with me!
  13. I'm so glad you are doing better today. There will still be good and bad days, but over time the good will become more frequent than the bad. My dad left everything to us...there are 4 of us. He left the house to us as well, but left a "life estate" to his wife which means she can live there as long as she wants...so we can't do anything with the house...
  14. My father had remarried and his wife doesn't like me much. Had he died here, I may not have ever heard. He was killed while on vacation visiting his family in Iowa...the car crash also killed an uncle and an aunt...it was their family (my cousins) that called my sister, my sister then called me. My father's wife barely cared when they called her...she...
  15. I don't grouchy as much as I get clumsy and really accident prone, lol. I'm a danger to myself without sleep. I'll do that, and next you'll get a really nice letter from ANNA saying they'll do their best to help me.
  16. I'm good! I'm finally at a good point with my dad, although I still do have moments where I'll remember with sadness. Somethings that will never change are his birthday, father's day and Christmas. I always remember him especially at those times. But, alas, it's been 10 years and time really does heal some things. Thanks so much!!! ...
  17. You WERE there for your dad in many ways. Physically you were there at a good time, when he was responsive and actually could interact with you! I'm sure that gave him comfort in his last hours! Wow, I agree! My appointment was at 1:30, but I got there around 11:35 or so...I was walking past, maybe as you were finishing up!...
  18. Hum, I don't know that I've heard the term "folds". I'll be interested to hear what your doctor has to say about it all! So does that mean you have gastritis? Oh, I hate waiting for results, lol, even when they're not mine. I'll be anxious to hear more after you talk to your doctor next week. I felt really tired after all mine, and maybe a bit drugged...
  19. Ah Andrea, I'm so sorry!!! The ashes to Oregon thing is very nice! I love that. I was a mess after my father died...it was horrible, but the neatest thing happened a few weeks later. I had a dream one night. I was standing in my grandfather's workshop (grandfather died many many years ago), and my dad came in and said "Don't worry, I'm happy and I'm...
  20. {{{{{hugs}}}}} for Andrea this morning! Hope you were able to rest afterall. I can't even imagine what it's like for you right now. At least with my dad, he went very quickly (car accident--killed instantly)...I had no decisions to make, he was just gone, and that was hard enough. Gosh Rachel...I also have ear pain and drainage! Mine is also clear...
  21. Thanks everyone...ha, I don't know about brave, but I figured it couldn't hurt to reduce the burden on my body in any way I can. Rachel, this is all very interesting because most of my problems are also in my sinuses (and digestive of course). I know I've said it before, but I had a sinus infection for nearly 3 years and was on antibiotics nearly that...
  22. Andrea - it's so normal to have that range of emotion! I too am so excited to hear about RAchel's appointment. Let me know when he's ready to go "public", lol. Well folks, I am officially AMALGAM FREE!!!!!! Just had the last one done a few minutes ago. I asked the dentist about chelation, but he suggested I wait 6 months to see how I feel and if...
  23. Okay, yep, I'd agree with this, lol! Especially with breakfast...
  24. Sort of quick. I was never sure what symptoms of mine where caused by what, lol, so I'm feeling better now, but it's hard to pin down what caused what and what's helping what. I had to take something called a "prevpac" which consisted of 2 strong antibiotics (amoxicylin and clarithromycin) and a prevacid along with a bunch of pepto bismol (the bismuth...
