ARCHIVED Mimi's Restaurant In San Jose, California
dlp252 replied to CalicoSue's topic in Gluten-Free Restaurants
Oh good, the San Jose Mimi's is just a couple of miles from me, and I used to love to eat there...it's good to know that at least someone there knows what gluten is, lol. Course, I'd have to leave out half the stuff you had cuz I can't do dairy, but I'd still get me a good meal. -

The link I have for the LLMDs doesn't work either! And, the list of doctors I have is only for the SF Bay Area here in California. -

Ha, get the spyder, lol. I like the body style the best. What's up with the bubble look in cars these days, lol. I drive a silver Honda Civic. I'll be needing a new one in a couple of years...my commute is much shorter than yours, but it's still plenty enough to wear out cars, especially the way I drive. Yah, get it. -

Hi again. Yeast/fungi feed off of sugar and things that turn to sugar, and from what you've said above you've got a lot of that in your diet. I'm going an anti-candida diet now and basically I eat meat, eggs and low sugar veggies. No grains, no starchy veggies, etc. Pretty limited, but at least it's not feeding the candida--I should note that my diet... -

Hi LIsa, welcome! I was also going to say that your symptoms sound like they could be candida related. I had many of those same symptoms myself, and they are slowly resolving themselves recently, but it's taken a while. Rachel - I thought of you while driving home from HN today...you don't drive a mustang do you, lol? There was a mustang behind me... -

Good luck with the new test and probiotic Mia...I worry about you every time I hear you're starting something new. Well, I did a quick search for fibroids and mold and didn't see anything linked, so I'd have to agree that this may be just a contributing factor. Everything I've ever seen links them with estrogen, but I suspect that different environmental... -

It was the Port Orleans. They had only the food court. I noticed on one of the signs a note that they could help with special diets, so I asked the girl at the counter if I could have help with a special diet and she went and got the chef. I didn't know food courts had chefs, but they do, lol, at least at Disney. The first day, I just was asking for... -

I agree, avoiding surgery is wonderful! I think I only had around 8-15 injections, with the most being around the base of my skull, then a couple in the neck and a couple in the shoulder and a couple more at the top of the forearm. She decided to do only one side and to limited the amount she did the first time so I could see how everything affected me... -

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MIA!!!!!!!!! We DO love you!!!! Hope you have the best birthday! Yes, I think that's what she was saying. We were only testing molds, and in the organs/things affected fibroids came up as being directly affected by the mold. Weird huh, lol?! I forgot one other interesting thing Susan said yesterday....my adrenals came up... -

All the days of our BioSET.... We did the other half of molds today. I guess the other one we did was something to do with ??neurotransmitters??--I can't remember exactly what she said now. Today was indoor molds, outdoor molds, food molds and peanut molds. Good news first, I only reacted to TWO of the peanut molds. I got a little overjoyed... -

In my case it is an internist who has been trained in the technique. I'm not sure if it helps tension headaches specifically, but if it is muscle tension that causes the headaches...maybe. I did a little research on the Internet and from what I have read, you'd want someone who has received some good training in this--that can make the difference in whether... -

Well folks, I had my evaluation for the prolotherapy (trigger point injections) and also had my first treatment. I think I got somewhere between 8-15 injections. Didn't feel most of them until she started moving the needle around in a few places. I DID feel like I was getting the flu though...sore achy muscles. I put heat (which they recommend) on my... -

I'll definitely have to double check with her about the weights I guess. I know they had me do my normal physical therapy exercises afterwards, and that included some weights. The needles weren't bad. I honestly didn't feel most of them until she started moving the needles around whilst in there. (sorry for any who read this who are squeamish!) I had... -

Thanks for the info above, I did a search on prolotherapy and it turns out that is what she had in mind for me. I actually had my first set of injections today as well. She concentrated on the area at the base of my skull and my neck. I also got a couple in my shoulder. The shots themselves weren't painful although I could feel her moving the needle around... -

Thanks Bev!!!! It was one of your posts that I found when I searched here, so I'm glad you saw this. EXCELLENT!!!! Yay. This all makes me feel much better about the whole thing. I get "evaluated" today, so I'll know more about the hows/whats for my particular case. Thanks everyone! -
