  1. Oh Andrea, I'm so sorry. I'm sitting here in near tears for you! I too will keep your dad and you and your family in my prayers!
  2. Well, I wasn't 100% sure they were normal, but I think they were normal enough, lol--something about the way he said it I guess. I still think about it "turning" one day, but try not to obsess about it. One of my doctors (not the GI) said I should have it checked again in about 3-5 years and I think I will.
  3. Thank you, I'm getting better every day, and I sure didn't mean to scare you! I had my endoscope a little more than 5 months after going gluten-free, and before that I had been on a low carb diet...wasn't gluten-free, but by it's nature I wasn't consuming much gluten. I'd been on that diet for at least 2 years maybe 3. For the polyp, they just removed...
  4. Well, I don't know...if you've messed up a lot, there may be some patches of damage, but it seems to me that the damage would be patchy at best and that it would be so very easy to miss the damaged spots. I'd think he'd have to take a lot of samples, and even then, it would probably get missed. Still, if you are having pain, the endoscope can check for...
  5. Holy mole...My aunt and brother smoked like fiends when I was growing up...my mom and dad used to, but quit when I was pretty young although dad smoked an ocassional pipe. Stupid cigarette manufacturers!!! I'm wondering if why this is why I didn't get 100% better on the candida routine too...I did feel better, and was definitely less sick, but...
  6. I'm right there with you my friend! {stomping foot} I cut out all nuts for the candida diet, and in the last couple of days have added about a half tablespoon to my morning and evening pectasol shakes (sounds yummy huh, lol). I LOVE nuts! All kinds of nuts! Rachel - I reacted to all the nuts too...I'm wondering if it was because of the mold or...
  7. At this point celiac is the least of my worries.

    ARCHIVED Newbie!

Hello and Welcome! I'll try answering some of your questions... Not, sure about the serology, but if your doctor thinks it's a yes given your history, I'd say that's a pretty good indication. As far as the gene test...the gene test will tell you if you carry the genes that are most associated with Celiac, but it is still possible to be sensitive...
  9. Wow NoGluGirl, I'm so frustrated just reading about your home situation! I don't even know what to say except that I'm sorry! Rachel, OMGosh, I'm so excited that you have added more foods!!! Very exciting! Andrea - That's the brand of eggs I buy too, lol. Pudgeland, hum, maybe we can have a subdivision of Rachelville, lol. I'm hoping...
  10. WELL NOW, that would be a cause for celebration for me, lol!!! :LOL Rachel - congratulations on the eggs!!! That's exciting! Oh my, I buy eggs every week at Whole Foods and just stare at that section for a few minutes each time because there are so many. The one I end up buying usually just says "100% vegetarian diet" and "free-range". ~~~...
  11. Thanks Andrea...I hadn't heard from Julie from the last email I sent out a few weeks ago and was starting to get really worried. I'll pray. And, re the virus thing...I don't think my allergy shots have thimerasol in them, but something is sure reacting with me. The last 4 sessions have been problematic. The first two I developed intense itching at the...
  12. Okay Rachel, I'm excited for YOU too!!!!
  13. Hi Rinne!!! WElcome back! Thanks for the info Rachel...I had already almost convinced myself I needed ART, lol, and now this!
  14. Well, I may be joining you in the magnesium thing, lol. I woke up with the most horrible leg cramp. That's never happened to me before! Anyway, from a quick search on the Internet, it seems like it can be caused by dehydration, lack of magnesium and/or lack of potassium. It isn't dehydration, since I'm drinking tons of water these days, so it's got...
  15. Mold I think. Besides the carbs/starch, corn has a mold issue thing like peanuts.
  16. Gosh, I'm sorry to hear that! Will pray it's nothing serious!
  17. You probably found these already, but I thought I'd post anyway: Open Original Shared Link Open Original Shared Link Open Original Shared Link Open Original Shared Link Open Original Shared Link
  18. Sorry, I've seen this discussed a couple of times in my reading over the last couple of days, but I couldn't find a link. It's mostly in discussions I've read regarding candida and mercury...I'll post one if I can find it.
  19. I've said a prayer and will keep her in my thoughts throughout the day!
  20. I think I might be the only one who didn't love these, lol. I think I just didn't figure out how to prepare them correctly though. I may still have some in the freezer, but it will be a while now before I can try one again. So sorry your appointment didn't go better! I wish doctors had a sixth sense about these kinds of things. I think...
  21. Wow sounds great!!! I wanted a turkey leg, but they were out of them (can you imagine, lol). Instead I had a burger without the bun and some fries...the girls at the counter were very helpful and actually one of them watched my plate like a hawk to make sure no one put anything on it that shouldn't be there.
  22. Wow, what an exhausting weekend! I'm so sorry!
  23. You're welcome. Wow, I'd be nervous too, lol. Yes, the card is preloaded with all the meals. We stayed 4 days, so had 4 days worth of meals & snacks. You can use them all in one day if you need to, lol. I think my friend and I decided it was a good deal and would probably purchased the meal plan again, and it certainly was convenient to NOT deal...
  24. Deleted because the quote I listed was obviously not gluten-free or dairy free...
  25. Well, I only have two that still work: Open Original Shared Link Open Original Shared Link These are still mostly sites that say what NOT to eat though.
