  1. Oh Patti, that's not petty at all! Sometimes we just need our moms! We just need them to be moms. I'm glad you feel like you can come here to let it out! Hi, I was so busy at work and had a few minutes that I thought I could get caught up, but ya'all were busy, lol. I'll ask him when I see him on the 8th.
  2. I've never heard of a physiatrist...sounds interesting and wonderful!
  3. LOVE Soduku...I have it in a handheld electronic game version...very cool. Shoot, it was busy at work today, so I'm sort of drive-bying...someone has probably already answered this, but just in case... I made up the word...kind of like scientificness...ergonomic is what it's called when something is designed to work with your body in...
  4. Oh Laura, I'm glad it's done with and she was fine afterwards! How hard it must have been to see her so scared and upset!
  5. I can branch out to assist in other areas, lol. "They" won't let me have a gun, but sure bet I could figure it out....
  6. Yes, the light-headedness is kind of back to normal, lol. Just comes up a little now and then throughout the day, but at least I'm not staggering around like I was after the appointment. I got a little more sleep last night which helped I think. Course, today, my stomach is a bit off cuz I have to spit in a vial and well, that just makes me sick, lol.
  7. Yep, they do, and especially if someone mentions a doctor wants it, lol. If I hadn't mentioned my doctor wanted me to be reevaluated, they would have just had one of the facilities people come over and look at it, but since the doctor suggested it, they are having a professional come in for insurance purposes.

    ARCHIVED Dizziness

Only one year, sorry, but yes, still light-headed and dizzy...but in my case I think it's related to something else...one of two things...I should know more about WHICH in a few weeks. Eating gluten definitely made it worse and it did get better after I stopped eating it regularly.
  9. azmom3, that's a great poem!! Thanks! Andrea - so sorry to hear about your dad. Oh, and I found on my calendar where I wrote the estimates they gave me for removal of the teeth...these were the general estimates they gave me during the consultation appointment: $1,350 for crowns, $250 for small fillings, $300 for larger fillings. Rachel - I know...

    ARCHIVED Dizziness

Me too! I've been feeling this for the last few years but not as bad as it is now. I've only knowingly eaten gluten twice in the last year, the lightheadedness was a bit worse on those two ocassions.
  11. Yep, that's about as scarey as I can take!
  12. Hi, it's a little overwhelming at first but you'll get the hang of it very quickly. I can do the basics... Gluten = the protein in wheat, oats, rye and barley and anything made with those products. Gluten also can be found in other grains but it is a different kind of gluten. You'll unfortunately have to read labels because all of those things can...
  13. You mean there are REALLY brownies...I thought that was another phrase like "frisk the wookie" or something.
  14. I've always suspected I had a thyroid problem, but could never get any doctor to run any of the tests other than TSH which always comes back normal. I have several of the "classic" symptoms (which can really apply to other things too though). I'm seeing a new group of doctors who suspect adrenal fatigue and I know they're sometimes linked. I bet they'd...
  15. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!
  16. I know Vitamin C definitely give me D if I take too much, I seem to be okay in lower doses throughout the day rather than 1 big one, but that's one of the reasons I stopped taking it at the beginning of the year, so I could see if that was what was causing the D. It helped when I stopped but didn't stop the D altogether. In your case Carla, I think...
  17. Just saying Hi and welcome to Raymond!
  18. Thanks Carla...I DO have some Vit C supplements at home, maybe I should take those...if I have glutathione it's as old as the hills, but I can pick some up.
  19. Yep, I have lots of vertical ridges on my fingernails...with some of the white "clouds". They are brittle and chip and flake very easy. I can only see the moons on my thumbs and the pointer (index??) finder of my left hand. My toenails have both vertical and horizontal ridges.
  20. Can you maybe work just part time? I'm so sorry...I have been struggling to work this entire last year and I'm just so exhausted, so sort of know what you mean! Just really sending hugs since I haven't figured out yet how to make it all work...I don't have kids or hubby so fortunately if I don't feel like doing anything when I get home, I don't have to...
  21. He didn't say anything about supplements...I'll ask him next time, and I'll also ask the internist when I see her tomorrow, and the nutritionist when I see her again.
  22. YAy, heck with the Bumble Bars give me chocolate peanut butter ice cream then!
  23. Dangerous Grains was a good one. Hum, what others did I read...the brain fog hasn't completely left me yet, lol. One of my doctors just recommded "Going Against the Grain", but I haven't read it to comment.
