    Amanda, how long does the typical C-sectioned mom stay in hospital down there? I'm curious because here things are HEINOUS. Because we have problems with lack of beds, uncomplicated births have you out in 36 hours, and C-sections I believe are 48-72 hours. Just not long enough.....

    Damn you, Departing David Dalton!!! Could be strategic....Michelle is letting her dogs rest a little longer than Dastardly David Dalton, knowing they will have to really turn on the jets for the final long stretch. DDD could pay heavily by not resting long enough...may have to drop a dog or two, or he'll have to rest again sooner than Michelle will...

She actually is quite an underdog (pun intended)...Some illness/injury during last year, of her and her lead dog, plus being female, no one expected much to be happening with her for this race.
