  1. Morning, early Sillies! Grrrrrr....nicely coiffed, professionally-styled hair lasts until the following morning. Mine now looks...bah.....like Em's normal, average hair. Poop. Had a wonderful dinner at a lovely Indian place last night. The owner likes us because DH settled a large commercial property claim for him, much to his financial advantage. He...
  2. Nikki! Hope you're okay.... ...Janet, could you Fedex some Tamiflu over to Kent, ASAP?
  3. Jaaaaannnnet!!! That AV!! Or, bring Jess along with the yeti, and she'll employ some electrodes to get the flinging really going, into intricate but spontaneous-looking patterns.....
  4. Yes, 'tis true.......however, on the field trip I crashed to the ice as a result of flagrant showing off, and there would be none of that with DH. He can skate circles around me, and does an AWESOME manly stop--blades screeching, ice spraying magnificently, body in an enviable lean...he nauseates me, really. Man, it looks so uncharacteristically...
  5. Amanda!! I absolutely want to see them!! PM me, please! Susie, just curious......do you use the same number of exclamation points when speaking to guys that you do when writing to us? Could be something there.... Oh, Janet, yuck. Well, the flu's a better diagnosis than a concussion, but then the rest of your family won...
  6. Susie! We are kindred spirits. I have NEVER used paint straight from a can on any wall, ever. Always a mixture. And because I am a painter painter, I become very excited when the mixed colours stand out a little as I'm going...just like the walls are a huge canvas. So, often my walls have areas that look subtly like an oil abstract. Quite enchanting...
  7. I can picture it exactly! It is all down my hallway, and in our bedroom, in fact. Not quite mint green, as there is more yellow and white in it....and a slight greyish hue....what would I call it?....gonna drive me nuts......
  8. Multi-coloUrs are an absolute must. I'll share some of the interesting theoretical content of my visual art thesis that I did a million years ago...Amanda, you can keep it in mind: Blue is a coloUr that quells appetite, as we are wired to avoid blueness in nature when choosing food. There are very few natural things to eat that are blue, so our signal...
  9. Gooooood Mornin' Sillies! Big project ahead of you Amanda...guess you'll be perusing the real estate ads more than you'll be on here over the next while. From what we're hearing, it is absolutely a buyer's market in the States (a careful buyer!)....So, now's the time--you're in the driver's seat! Well, the hedgehogs are back....in MY hair this time...
  10. Amanda, that's exciting! A big step, and scary at first, but once you do it you can start building equity. Rent payments you never see again, but mortgage payments are an investment. Move up here with us!!! Then I won't have to courier our shared brain such a great distance.....
  11. Ugh! No groin phaeries? Well, we're managing with the very traditional ice-for-fifteen, heat-for-fifteen. My poor wee net-minder..... Mygawd, Jin...you actually go back a zillion pages, and respond to everything? Taking notes as you go, filing, organizing? You probably have flowcharts drawn up, as well.....Whoa, you're good. ...
  12. Bev, you're NEVER too old to miss your mommy. You know, I'm already starting to miss mine, and she is still here. She's eighty, and not quite the same woman she always has been due to old age. I see bits of my parents changing and...disppearing, I guess...as they get ever older. Back to SILLY!!!!..... "Holy crap! Check out the...
  13. Well, maybe I do.... Are there groin phaeries? If so, Perhaps I can enlist help from one of them, as (yet another instance where the subjects on our thread suddenly mirror my real-life content) Sophie has come home from her school hockey tournament with--you guessed it--a pulled groin. The bane of goalies.... So, I be needin' some pharies with groinal...
  14. Wow, Carla! Beautiful!! Gus emoticon: "Can we please go out? PLEASE? Can we please do something, anything?!!" Richard, my son has responded significantly to the gluten-free diet. He was never clinically depressed, but he certainly was not a happy child, and had a great deal of anger. Away from gluten these past four months, he's a...
  15. Mygawd.....was Jesus working in a cubit? Must have been, as there is that quote from him. I thought he was out fixing people's houses and mangers and making wooden furniture. Maybe he was not just a carpentrer, but a general contractor, which would perhaps put him in an office setting. And heinosity, avatarse and anal expression.... ...
  16. Alex!! How frightening for you and your dad. I'm so glad it was minor, and that all will be okay. My blood sugars are affected by stress, no question, and it seems to get more pronounced the older I get. When you experience stress, of course, there is a surge of adrenaline and cortisol, and along with all the other hormones we produce, they "eat up...
  17. Yep. They'll be there, all right. On my arse! GAAAAAAAAHHHHH!!!!
  18. IT'S SO CONFUSING! Always think it's Janet when it's Susie, and vise versa...too much for my little brain....! What in hell? Who in hell is this guy David, who's not spying, and out of his mind..... TELL!!
  19. Hey!! What's this? What did I miss?! WHO IS DAVID? Story, please........
  20. Yes! Yes! Exactly that, on me arse! His cheeks are spreading across my backside..... OMG....Dizzy Gillespe............Nooooooooooooooo!!! Nobody's bum is THAT big!
  21. Oh!! This sounds VERY interesting! He climbs mountains, and he pulls teeth....this is very good in a boyfriend. I say aggressively find out his marital status. Man, if this thing were ANYWHERE ELSE but my arse, I'd have a pic up here so fast...Avatarse, indeed....! It continues to change. Increasing in size, it is spreading...
