    It's a very sad reality, and despite the role I am supposed to play as an Ottawa fan (trashing the Leafs), I've never been able to do this. I really admire the Leaf fans for being so loyal. It's also very sad that no one can pick up tickets for a home game in T.O. I was visiting my brother last year (he's on Ward's Island) and Ottawa was playing there...

    I had just finished reading this email containing these bizarre facts and I was thinking, "are these really interesting, or funny, or just weird?" I think all three...then I read Jerry's invitation to bring up anything, and these factoids were in my head...so...there it is. Please ignore them if they're just too weird.     Sorry about this late response, Lisa! Wow, these great threads just take off and within a few hours there are pages and pages! I'll get my pic back up after The Ottawa Senators win the Stanley Cup...shouldn't be too long. I am functionally bilingual, and anyone here who works for the federal government has to be pretty serviceable in both official languages...

    I teach ESL in the Embassies here in Ottawa. Right now I teach most of my classes in the French Embassy (fascinating group, these French diplomats)! I am also a very starving artist...I do murals commercially and I also do portrait work from home. I'm not in the least science or math-minded, but I still manage to be geek extraordinaire!

    My problem is avatar related: I uploaded a new photo to replace my old one, and apparently it was successful. In my controls I see the new photo under the "current avatar" heading. But it is not showing on any of my posts! It's the same old pic. I don't get this... Anybody know what's going on?

    I rarely get headaches, but on that rare occasion, NOTHING works better or faster for me than the Advil extra strength gel caps. Ibuprofin is the ticket for me!
