    As I mentioned in a previous post, I have been on Dapsone since October (25 mg twice a day). It has helped tremendously. However, when I get glutened, I get a breakout within 24 hours.     I just learned that 2 foods that I used to love, and thought that I had to give up, were safe! Thanks! Mahatma Saffron Rice and Lipton Dry Onion Soup Mix! I ordered the $30 gluten-free product catalog from this site, but have not looked through everything as there is just too much in it. Never thought that I would be saying that!

    I have also had good Outback experiences. I have been to ours twice and both times everything was perfect. Of course I was prepared to receive a salad with croutons, but to my surprise, that never happened! It felt sooooooooo good!

    Hi LauraJ. I am not a Penn St alumni, but my fiance is (class of 1986). He is going to the Orange Bowl but I will be watching from home. I am recently diagnosed, and am not up for traveling yet. We went to four games this year, even though it is a five + hour drive for us. Go State!

    I'm late joining in on this, but I just sent a letter to Oprah (I'm a "B"). I think everyone has had great ideas on this topic. I am now going to send letters to CNN, NBC, ABC, and the Food Network. I think that together, we can all make a difference and increase awareness. That is the answer to making our lives more normal.

    I have not had an outbreak since I started taking Dapsone. I had a terrible outbreak on my arms, legs, and ankles that started clearing within 48 hours of starting Dapsone.     Hang in there! I was the same way. I had NO GI symptoms at all. If I wouldn't have had the DH outbreak, I would have never found out that I have celiac disease!     I have been taking Dapsone for 2 months now - 25 mgs twice a day and it has helped soooooooo much! I still itch some, but nothing like I was, and also no outbreaks of blisters. I am also following a gluten-free diet. Good luck - I hope it works for you too!

    A CT scan showed my abdominal lymph nodes and spleen were enlarged. My primary care dr. sent me to GI spec. who did a biopsy and confirmed a previous diagnosis by my dermatologist that I had celiac disease.
