  1. I just started seeing a new doctor yesterday. Today is my 1st day gluten free. Thank you for your advice.
  2. Thanks! I'll check him out.
  3. Hello everybody. So my appointment went well. He spent the first hour going over the paperwork i filled out, my medical history, and current concerns. He asked me what my top concerns that i wanted to focus on today and i said my allergies, GI issues, and fibromyalgia (next we're working on weaning me off some meds or at least lower doses and supplementing...
  4. Awesome. Thank you for sharing your experiences and suggestions! Feeling more hopeful
  5. Umm, what did I say? And my doctors never mentioned the connection between lymphoma and celiac. Until today at my integrative medicine doctor appointment. To be quite honest, I'm confused. Why the harsh responses? I'm just here looking for support like anyone else. Ps. I happened to stumble on the celiac/lymphoma connection in a book but was...
  6. Thank you for your reply
  7. Hello everybody. I'm a type 2 diabetic, and following lower carb (80 carbs ish a day.) Unfortunately, I can not go lower than that because it puts me into gastroparisis (since having chemo and radiation for non hodgkin lymphoma of the duodenum/intestine.) My question is what are other good options? Thanks, -Jessica
  8. Try The Woodlands Institute for Health and Wellness. I have a friend that goes there and likes them. It is costly though for the initial visit, and no insurance accepted except for labs. Their # is 281-298-6742 Best of luck

    ARCHIVED Integrative Medicine?

Has anyone had good success with seeing an integrative medicine doctor? I have an appointment today at 2:30, and hoping to get some answers or at least a starting point.
  10. A bit of back story. I'm 35 years old. Had a positive celiac panel several years ago, but negative biopsy. Was more or less told it was not mandatory I go gluten free, but it may help with various conditions i have. I ended up going gluten free for about a year, did notice a difference but not significant enough to outweigh the doctor's words of "not mandatory...
  11. I'll be taking my first cruise in 1 month. Are cruises gluten free friendly? -Jessica
  12. Thank you, i did find it interesting and fascinating.
  13. Thanks for your imput. I see an integrative medicine doctor tomorrow at 2:30 and am going to talk to him about it as well.
  14. 2 biopsies were taken. I was gluten free for almost a year, then began eating gluten again because no doctor could seem to give me a straight answer, so of course it was easier. I'm seriously beginning to wonder/doubt though.
  15. Hello, thanks for the welcome. No i have not been gluten free since the diagnosis. That's when they also did the biopsy for celiac which came back negative. With the bloodwork positive, some of my other symptoms/disorders, and the fact that i get some type of dermatitis, i can't help but to wonder if I'm not at least gluten or wheat sensitive.
  16. How does one know the culprit? I don't seem to be getting anywhere with answers. Celiac pannel positive, biopsy (while eating gluten) negative. I've done both gluten free and eaten gluten, never done just wheat free... have had doctors tell me since the biopsy was negative i am ok. Have even had a doctor tell me celiac is rare, and he wasn't entirely sure...
  17. Every time I eat wheat products (unsure if gluten is the culprit) my arms, specifically my forearms and upper arms, break out in small tiny red bumps. Is this DH? I have been gluten free before and never had these bumps while being gluten free (long story, I posted in the pre-diagnosis forum for an intro of sorts) -Jessica
  18. Hello everyone. I'm new to this forum. I'm not quite sure what to say anymore. It's been a several year ordeal. My bloodwork came back positive for Celiac Disease about 8 years ago, but my biopsy 3 years ago came back negative (I was eating gluten at this point.) When they did my biopsy they ended up finding MALT Non Hodgkin Lymphoma of the Duodenum. Anyway...
