  1. hey, I'm doing alright, I'll give an update later when I get a chance... and of course, I have a few questions I'll probably ask as well... my sister's procedure is coming up very soon... if you or whoever would like any updates, I can send a PM as I'd prefer to handle things that way...
  2. yeah, you can be hypoglycemic without having diabetes... everyone in my family (mom, dad, and sister and myself, of course) are all hypoglycemic to various degrees without any of us having diabetes, though my dad's father had it... I don't know how restricted you are with foods but there are some foods which are easy to keep on hand as snacks to eat...
  3. Thank you, Patti. As you said, I wasn't trying to get anyone to donate money for her, just sharing this since I've discussed her situation on here previously. Of all the outlets I have to try to raise money, this would probably be the last since I know how much we are all already spending on our own medical bills and associated costs. But it is certainly...
  4. yeah, that's a picture of her...
  5. if anyone wants to check it out, the feature story, at least in the Monmouth County version, maybe the other counties too, in the Asbury Park Press (a major newspaper where I live in NJ) today is on my sister: Open Original Shared Link it's about her coping with RSD and her upcoming trip to Germany to get a ketamine induced coma to try to reset her...
  6. anyone have a recommendation for a multi-vitamin?... free of the common allergens, yeast, any bad binders/additives... I ran out of my multi-vitamin (Pure Multi T/D) and won't be able to get it again for a week or 2... figure I might try something else for now...
  7. yeah, yeast extract and hydrolized proteins both contain the processed free glutamic acid aka MSG... I'd always double check any soups, microwave meals, chips, and stuff like that for these ingredients... here's a quick link I found that covers it: Open Original Shared Link
  8. I remember reading at one point that the reason the IGM Western Blot is often positive in lyme tests for patients who have had lyme for months or years is due to the constantly changing form every 21 days or however long the "lyme cycle" is... so essentially, a person is constantly being reinfected with a "new" infection, and that's why many people are negative...
  9. while I certainly agree with all of this from a general standpoint, isn't chlorella safe to "experiment" with on your own as it is just a binder and not a mobilizer? from my understanding, chlorella will mostly just bind to stuff (mercury and whatnot) in the gut and intestines as it helps detox the body through excretion... so there aren't really any...
  10. I've already been holding off on starting the diflucan because I don't want to add another burden to my liver, and I guess I'm giving my body a break for a couple weeks too... can't say this bit of info will exactly get me started on it any sooner.. is fluoridating drugs common? I know the water supply is fluoridated but didn't know some drugs were as well...
  11. just a quick news tidbit that is irony at its finest... funny stuff if you know anything about Monsanto (for those who don't, Monsanto is a massive, powerful company responsible for things like aspartame and agent orange and now owns the patent to nearly every GMO seed for foods like corn, soy, etc.) from Open Original Shared Link "From now on, staff...
  12. alright, been a few weeks since I've posted, got a bunch of different things to say, we'll see how much I get out before my mind goes back into a fog... I've felt like my mind's been in the clouds the better part of the past 2 months and it's not exactly like I was grounded in the first place before starting ABX treatment... I definitely took a step...
  13. I think you can get medicaid to cover the Igenex test but I'm not positive... my sister has either medicare or medicaid (whichever one they would give to someone in their 20s who is disabled) and I think the test was covered after providing ICD-9 diagnosis codes... my mom might have also made some phonecalls to the insurance reps, but I think she was able...
  14. put me in the not feeling great recently camp, but just to add real quick... I've benefited a lot from reading posts from both carla and rachel in this thread, probably the two of you for my particular situation moreso than anyone else in this thread.. not having both of you post would take away a valued source of information and perspectives for myself...
  15. my nutritionist's dog was treated for lyme... I got the impression the treatment for her dog was standard and worked fine though she only mentioned it in passing after I told her about my diagnosis with lyme...
  16. thanks for looking, just curious if you found anything out yet... didn't see anything posted on the past few pages but I could have missed it... not trying to press you to get the info, I'm just hesitant to try anything new right now since I've been feeling bad this week and stopped my meds for a few days... but I'm thinking maybe something like the footpads...
  17. alright, there's a lot I'm sure I'd like to comment on or ask questions about based on klinghardt's audio and the posts about it, but it will take too much time now so I'll try to get to it this weekend... thanks for posting the link, rachel, I downloaded the file and will probably listen to it in full when I get a chance... quick question regarding the...
  18. lol, no, it's not me... didn't realize that it was a 'charlie' who wrote it... maybe I should have just stuck with clark a while back to avoid confusion
  19. happy birthday donna... I have to say it's impressive, you know, for a 7 year old to do as much as you and be that independent... you just don't see too many 7 year olds like that anymore... for those of you who have had issues with convincing your dentists about the dangers of mercury toxicity from amalgams, here's a little something on the FDA's stance...
  20. I just read your reply after I posted... in that timespan, the guests at the bottom went from 12 to 7... think you're scaring anyone away? I know I'm probably surrounded by computers, cell phones, electronics, etc. too much between work and home but what are you gonna do? I figure if all the other changes I make in my life won't benefit me because...
  21. RSD is reflex sympathetic dystrophy (also known as CRPS - Complex Regional Pain Syndrome)... it's a chronic pain condition typically localized to a certain part of the body and triggered by an accident or injury of some sort.. the type of pain often includes hypersensitivity to the point in which merely scraping a fingernail lightly across a patient's affected...
  22. haven't posted much recently so I'm trying to get out a few things tonight... happy birthday laura (probably a week or 2 late at this point)... sorry to hear about your situation with your back, Susan... hope the MRIs and everything else goes well.. glad to hear things went pretty well this past weekend, rachel... and I'd be envious that you're on...
  23. not a FPS... in terms of the structure of the game, it would be similar to Grand Theft.. open city environment with mission-based gameplay as well as entertaining (in theory of course) non-mission based gameplay... not really similar to Grand Theft in the other game aspects though like the general theme of the game and gameplay itself... oh, and I didn...
  24. seems that the consensus is to take the probiotics a half hour or so before food... I know my mom takes her probiotic in the morning before eating... I might run it by my nutritionist for her perspective but I'll probably start taking it before food instead... I'm satisfied with my probiotics for now (klaire labs, can only get them through my nutritionist...
  25. quick question... for those of you taking probiotics (or when you were taking them)... when during the day did you take them and with or without food, how far away from food if not with food? I've been taking them with food (my second meal) for a while now but have seen some recommendations to take them a half hour before a meal (say, the first meal)....
