ARCHIVED A Proper Welcome To Srokie!
DingoGirl replied to Canadian Karen's topic in Introduce Yourself / Share Stuff
new year, new signature! And so many people were calling me SusieQ, that I thought I'd put it in there. All of my family calls me susie.....and hey, you guys are kinda like family! (well, crazy/deranged family that I've never seen in real life who FEEL MY PAIN!) -

Maybe we should just monitor our chats a tiny bit, just make sure that at least one of us says "hey" and welcome to a new, or newer, poster. Acknowledgement is really nice when there's a big, cozy chat amongst friends who've sent packages or just gotten off the phone with another forum member. It's simple to do and shouldn't take that much time. -

oh my gosh, I just read about three pages of that HEINOUS thread. That's a BAD one. You know......it is astonishing....I joined on January 27th - the very day this was all going on. I can see why you took your "vacation" - - what a nasty thing that was. And here was sad little me - - with no IDEA in the world what was going on in YOUR world...... -

Thanks Rach. I do remember telling you that one-third of people DIE from C. Diff - - felt bad about being the messenger of THAT news. Later thought - I should not have told you that (researcher that you are, you knew anyway). Holy over-analyzing, Batman...... Karen - actually wishing I hadn't mentioned anything. I have seen you be mostly attentive... -

Karen...........I had no idea at all. I am impressed that you came out and said this....I hope I didnt' offend. I don't now who CeliacChap is - don't know about any of that. You did write me the nicest reply.....I just assumed, seriously, that my depression scared you (and others) off. It was all I could talk about - or try NOT to talk about - for six... -

"death rabbits??" Bev, what the heck is FRISKY DINGO???? I do like the name...... I have two frisky and fluffy and freshly-bathed dingos here. SO nice and clean-smelling, we washed the stinky beach smell right off. They went to grandma's today (secret visit, DO NOT tell my stepfather) and she nearly puked at their stench. gotta go, Golden... -

and I am SO guilty of creating just that clique-ish scenario!! (dear God, look back about 7 - 8 months ago in the OMG thread - - or better yet, DON"T!!) I have gotten so carried away and SO goofy at times that I thought I might get kicked out. We did get in a bit of trouble over the summer, in fact, for being so wildly off-topic.....so we added some strictly... -

DingoGirl replied to Mtndog's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
Throwing a sippy cup? that made me laugh just about as hard as the sideways turd..... I haven't been constipated in quite a while, but on my trip to Italy, years ago, I once went NINE days without pooping. I was there more than six weeks and pooped about five times. grumpy? that's a nice word for it...... Have you tried flax seeds? oh my... -

Very well said, and no, it was never you. I find you to be a solid voice of reason, at all times - and very informative. But also remember, and I should have expressed this more clearly - - when I joined this thread, I was a very, very depressed, over-sensitive, and extremely malnourished Celiac, with no energy and nothing but clouds and fog in my brain... -
ARCHIVED Which gluten-free Moisturizers Do You Use On Your Face?
DingoGirl replied to Carriefaith's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
I also use straight Jojoba at night....skin is much softer the next day. but, I am using a retinol cream also, so at times my face is like an alligator, adn I MUST use a strong sunscreen every day. I LOVE Neutrogena Ultra Sheer dry-touch sunblock, I had researched it before buying, and it turns out it is the same one my new dermatologist recommends also... -

It was also in the Austin Powers movies (at least the first one) and then he made some $$ by singing a bastardized version of it for Walmart...... What I love is when I'm walking through TJ Maxx or something, just minding my own business, and a song comes on.... "....summer rain, taps at my window......" and I just smirk to myself and kind... -

Susan - 45 (JR is 19 years older than I). And yes, occasionally GROUCHY!!!! (remember, I was one who may have hurt Srokie's feelings.) IT really is great that Jackie is trying to learn about her friend's diet. Interesting how that came about. We're not always as trigger-happy as we've been lately......you're not offending... -

very good, I'll look for these. So...you don't cook them, you just wet them? Linda - I believe you may have asked this before, and I forgot to answer. So sorry.
