  1. I worked at one in college briefly, CHAOS in the kitchen.....you would have to check that they made the pasta using a dedicated container and colander....and check the sauce ingredients - but I'd do as Andrea said and call them in advance...
  2. OH MY GAWD.....this sentence made me bust a gut, but then I read the rest of your post.....dang Rachel. I feel so sorry for you, I don't know how you figure out what to eat. Celery - - completely right - who needs it? just a very hard-to-digest vehicle - remember, you're not supposed to put it in your garbage disposal, so think of all the fiber in your...
  3. of course, I am really confused in my thinking....heck, something is wrong with your computer? um, well something is wrong wtih my brain..... but, those weird looking letters and "sprinkles of debris" -- Cissie you can't lose your computer now... okay. now going to read all the rest of the posts. my stomach is KILLING me, and this morning...
  4. Cissie - - I think time moves somehow at warp speed, and yet not at all, in R-ville - - it's magic....but as you can see, lots of reading required...I'm just glad I type 82 WPM (recent typing test)..... Um, your last paragraph is just so, poetically hilarious.....soaring above the masses....right, we will NOT be living any sort of pedestrian lives in...
  5. This will be my first serious post in a while..... could Chelsea's pain actually be fibromyalgia? and am wondering, do the symptoms lessen with removal of gluten, or can they completely go away? I have a friend in England with serious fibro, she won't go off gluten though.... and, what about bruising? I have some SERIOUS bruises lately, like I've...
  6. Well God bless you, dear one! So glad you found us. You will learn a lot here, keep reading (will warn you, we've entered a VERY silly phase on this board lately, if you enter some threads you'll think we're all nuts! but, we still address serious issues). Blessings -
  7. Exactly what I was thinking...and Stanford holds a place very dear in my heart....I can't wait!
  8. YOU GUYS ARE LITERALLY KILLING ME........ I laughed so loud at the last few pages that my therapy dingo Annie ran and put her head on my thigh... she is concerned because I usually don't just laugh this much while back on the computer and not talking on the phone or anything.... Um, one thing I want to know, as I don't have time to read 100...
  9. Um, how come none of the cops who pulled ME over ever looked like that? ANd did I mention I have 17 speeding tickets, so I have experience? (all in my youth friends, do not fear for the safety of your children in Rachelville as I drive the scenic roads of our farm) OMG Andrea..... so no screening process, eh? it really is utopia....
  10. Oh - - -school-schmool! Book your plane ticket girl.... Will I be calling you DOCTOR BEV at that time?
  11. Well, was he cute? 'cause that might help in interpreting...
  12. welcome to lunacy, Lynnie!! Oh you'll have to start reading WAY before page 164 - - - it's just that last night, in my delirium, those three pages really cracked me up....and shows how nuts we've gotten...
  13. Hey all, Just wondering if anyone plans to go to this conference - - it looks like a really great day, lots of good speakers, etc. I definitely plan on going and wonder if anybody else wants to meet me there, in person! Here's a link - - - Open Original Shared Link Anybody want to fly out? I have a really cozy guest room with your own...
  14. C, yes, I drink Lactaid, and love it! No problems. And, you can get Lactaid pills. Oh, cheese wasn't really ever a problem (small amounts in teh beginning) and eggs, no problem at all. so, good news!
  15. Chelsea - rather be called Kiddo than Ma'am....wait until you hear your first Ma'am.....I was about 38 or 39, maybe.....now and then a guy will call me MIss, and I practically kiss him, and I always point out to the hapless young gentleman who just said it how excited I am by the fact that he called me miss....
  16. No, they're Malapropisms, and actually quite charming....sign of higher intelligence....
  17. I am goign to speak to the dingos and fully ascertain if they are up to the task......I think they are.....all is perfect in R-ville and the girls will work in distinct harmony, I am sure...oh, Annie, my own personal "therapy dog," likes to go to the bathroom with me (she holds my hand while I'm peeing), so she might also be interested in accompanying people...
  18. The float will be for special occasions, and holidays......
  19. my gosh, your husband vacuuming.....how fantastic...be sure and post that on the why we don't need men thread...... Around here I don't look forward so much to the sound of the pitter-patter of little feet, but the sound of a man doing things for me (sawing limbs off trees, mowing the lawn, opening jars ) Um, that is scary Vincent!
  20. Hi C, welcome to the board. Sorry about the bloating and the scar tissue - - ouch! that doesn't sound fun. Just a thought - - I don't know how long you've been gluten-free, but one thing that can also be an issue for Celiacs is dairy - - often we must remove dairy for a few months (as in my case) or sometimes permanently - - dairy can really cause bloat...
  21. Sorry Chelsea, you got me. Except for the extraordinary tiredness - - I think that is most definitely from gluten. The other stuff sounds neurological and I recommend you PM Lynne (Tired of Doctors) as she could probably be reallly helpful wtih that. BTW how long has this weird pain been going on? just since the gluten challenge?
  22. I'll get the Nikes.... Celia, loving your new signature additions, of course we know from whence it arose, unlike people on the rest of the forum where you may be posting....but it could cause inquiry and converrsation and get them into our cult!
  23. Hi LL, Clostridium Difficile Pseudomenbranous Colitis - - a very unfriendly environment in the intestine in which bad flora (fauna?) take over. Very painful and extra-stinky D! Open Original Shared Link
  24. Oh yes, Lynne has no choice about this....we'll need her as we all grow old and demented together and our bodies ache.... Um, when did the office changes/promotions take place? was there an election? missed it....
