  1. Lynne, oops, was there a typo in my post about Eddie Bauer? Not sure why you were howling? By the way, on Saturday morning and early afternoons, the outlet runs these "blue light" type of specials. Ex - "for the next 30 minutes, all women's jeans are $6.99 etc. Happy shopping! JCPenney outlet is on the opposite side of town - far east...
  2. [fI also live in Columbus and plan to attend. Looking forward to meeting some other folks! The Eddie Bauer outlet is on the west side of Columbus - I go 2x per year! It is off of Fisher Rd. and 270. Try mapquest for specifics. quote name='KrisT' date='Sep 14 2006, 11:08 AM' post='202129'] Hello! I live in Columbus and would also really love...
  3. Finally heard back from Dole (emai) who said the pineapple & cream parfait and peaches & cream are gluten-free, but the apple & carmel is not. quote name='odcdinah' date='Aug 29 2006, 10:17 AM' post='194545'] I'm frustrated with Dole. 4. I'm frustrated with Dole. I also emailed them last Wednesday and have not heard back. I"ve tried calling them several times but got tired of being on hold for a VERY long time each time. It's the "natural flavoring" ingredient I"m concerned about.
  5. Anyone know whether the new Dole fruit and yogurt parfaits are gluten-free??
  6. What about Capn Crunch? Oats are an ingredient, but I saw no barley, wheat, or rye?
  7. Has anyone ever had a colon polyp? I had a colonoscopy yesterday, and all they found was a 10 mm polyp, which they removed. Doc didn't seem to worried about it, but I'm only 39 - I thought they were more common in older people? Thanks!
  8. The Gorilla Munch is good - tastes like Kix cereal i ate as a kid - REALLY crunchy though!
  9. Are Cheetos gluten free?
  10. yes, would be interesting to see how they feel when you politely say that you have a disease that leads to weight loss...
  11. [i've been gluten-free for 2 months, and have had similar ups and then downs...I've had the same "kind of like gas experience). I've finally given up trying to figure it all out and chalking it up to the healing process - it's really helped my peace of mind. My gas production seems to have increased since going gluten-free. Go figure! quote name='Lister...
  12. I live in Columbus and we emailed Graeter's headquarters. While of course they can't "guarantee" their ice creams free of cc, all ice creams are created to be gluten-free, with the exception of the obvious (cookie dough). My fiancee and I love the sundaes, and the staff person who makes the toppings came out to talk to us. The whipped cream, butterscotch...
  13. Actually, there are pictures - sort of. There is something physicians use called the "Bristol Stool Scale" which gives pics of the different kinds of stools, with desciriptions. If you Google "bristol stool scale", you'll find it. Don't ask me why I know this....
  14. Some have recommended taking the amino acid glutamine to deal with irritable bowel. Is it, in fact gluten?
  15. Several folks have touted the use of digestive enzymes. I don't know what they are or are called. Can anyone recommend any specficially that have been helpful to them? Thanks!
  16. Key, what sort of digstive enzymes are you taking? What type of probiotic? Thanks!
  17. I have been gluten-free for 6 weeks, and still get these feelings, along with LOTS of noise and gas. You're not alone..
  18. [Thanks! Is there a link to the Specific Carbo Diet? quote name='wolfie' date='May 10 2006, 10:15 AM' post='137592'] It could be milk, soy or another intolerance. You may want to go on a very basic diet...meat, veggies, fruit or something along those lines and keep a food diary. Lots of people talk about the Specific Carbohydrate Diet as being one...
  19. Funny, I just posted on this. Since going gluten-free a month ago, the amount of gas I have has increased! I know there are medicines to help it, but I'd rather figure out what's causing it first. What are you experiencing?
  20. Question for everyone: I was dx about a month ago, and have been gluten-free ever since. While some sx have gotten better, the gas seems to have increased to a nearly constant level! I wonder if it's milk related - I had no milk products yesterday, but still feel poorly today. If that's it, how long would it take to feel a bit better? thanks! Dinah
  21. Aren't some Snack Pack (Hunts, I believe), listed as gluten free?
  22. So the fiber helps you combat the glutening effect? ]
  23. Yes, great question, any input appreicated by me also!
  24. Alot of the stupid comments can be chalked up to plain old immaturity!
  25. Thanks for the thoughts. I will call and check. Actually, I like him very much and he has treated me very well through the testing, follow-ups, etc, so I"m not ready to discard him quite yet.
